Blaming the customers for not wanting to be preached and lectures demonstrates the weak foundation these people stand upon.

They cannot really justify their position, so they attack anyone who disagrees. It is a sign of mental illness.

This article is full of errors and incorrect assumptions. For starters, the quip by Batman & Robin director Joel Schumacher about Batgirl's (Alicia Silverstone) costume havine nipples was in relation to the fact that Batman & Robin's costumes featured nipples, hence his "we're an equal opportunity movie".

Rumors that the movie was a woke mess is confirmed here: Aside from having a Batgirl of color, Batgirl’s best friend, a trans woman named Alysia Yeoh, was played by trans actor Ivory Aquino. This would have marked the first time a live action feature film adaptation of a DC Comics title would feature an openly trans character. Why did they need a "trans character"? I get that rans people exist, but why did they need to include one unless they were going out of their way to be woke?

She also goes on to say Batman vs Superman was a colossal flop. It wasn't. It did not perform as well as expected and got some bad reviews, but it made a lot of money.

She goes on to say that they are releasing The Flash with Ezra Miller in spite of his apparent mental breakdown and legal problems. This is not true. They are talking about shelving that one, too and if not, refilming without Ezra "Gender-Fluid" Miller (I don't know why they cast that nutjob in the first place).

Her stupidest comment is this: Some fanboys couldn’t deal with the fact that they weren’t getting the Batgirl they wanted.. This shows how tone-deaf wokesters really are. Instead of making a movie that would appeal to the actual fans of the genre, she would rather they make some woke POS for a miniscule group of woke fans who care about wokeness more than entertainent.

It’s the Dixie Chicks syndrome. The people who lauded the Dixie Chicks for their political stance, never bought their music.

Comic book fans (graphic novels) are not different than other fans of books (novels).

They have a very specific view in their minds of characters and how they look and act.

Fans of the “Dune” and “Lord of the Rings” novels will never be completely happy with cinematic treatments of these novels.

I read both of the above trilogies in my youth and was never happy with any of the movies that came out.

Now more than thirty years removed from my reading of those novels and dramatic improvements in movie production technology I can finally accept to some degree the movie treatments of these fantastic books.

People will always argue with a director’s treatment of their favorite books.

Provided they don’t totally change key characters (things like sex or sexual orientation just for social credit score points) I can give it a pass.

Of course no one liked the 1984 treatment of Dune. Even if you had just read the novel you could not follow the movie. The only good acting in the movie was by Sting who thanks to this movie never acted again.

“The idiot comic fans need to grow up.”

It’s not the comic book fans. It’s the comic book industry. The producers. Time Warner owns D.C. comic books. Disney owns Marvel comic books. Sports and entertainment are woke industries. The fans don’t like it any better than you do.

The “senseless” promotion of diversity over merit is killing off a productive and growing America.

Well, if she feels so bad about this, maybe SJW Patricia Grisafi can cajole NBC to ponying up the rest of the dough to complete the movie. Good luck with that.

Let's see what the Critical Drinker thinks.

Caution: Language warning.

The only good acting in the movie was by Sting who thanks to this movie never acted again.

Actually, Sting was in the first season of Only Murders In The Building on Hulu. He played himself.

My wife said it was 'method acting'.

Enough is enough. FCOL, back in the 1966 version Catwoman was black. Nobody cared. Still nobody cares. Why not just make an alternate universe where every character is black. Sort of like Hamilton. Maybe blacks would stfu about it for one minute.

Nah…

I think the Owners said Batgirl was garbage not up to their standards and wanted the tax write-off so you’ll never get to see it

Read both series of books. I enjoyed the 1984/1985 version of Dune. (although I still can’t figure out why it had a R rating instead of PG) special effects were horrible and ALL of the acting was over the top. (I think that Was part of Dune’s charm) If you want to see a production of Dune go off the rails, watch the Jodorowsky’s Dune documentary.

LOTR was a good and mostly fair representation of the books; kind of like a gateway drug. The Hobbit was dreck. I have equally low expectations of the new Middle Earth series coming out on streaming.

I have very low expectations of all movies coming out today.

As I said I don’t recall anyone saying anything about Alicia Silverstone looking “fat” when Batman and Robin can our.

I remember a storm of criticism over the Robin costume looking gay and the nipples on both Batman and Robins costumes and how bad the film generally was.. but as someone who lived through that time I don’t recall any major commentary about Silverstone appearing fat etc. is it possible some j termer troll somewhere said something about Silverstones weight? Probably.. but we’re large segments of the fandom talking about her weight?!? Not at all..

This article just starts on a lie and gets worse from there.
