Russians are notorious for looting, brutality, and rape, whether in Stalin’s day or the present.

It's how they subdue a territory that's under rebellion. The Nazis were morons for invading the Soviets. And they lost so the civilians suffered under the Soviet occupation. The folks in the Western part of Germany were lucky because the Americans and the British were benevolent. The Nazis had it coming anyway so no pity for them.
