All our top business schools had and still have classes on the benefits of offshoring American industry to China and the low-wage third world, and how to do it efficiently.

Containerized shipping made transportation costs negligible for non-perishable products.

Until China cuts us (and Taiwan) off. Then, we are screwed.

It took a pandemic to discover that almost all our antibiotics, for example, came from China.

People could easily live without most of the consumer products imported from China. Not so with antibiotics. By not doing something to promote producing these life saving meds in the USA, Congress shows once again how little it cares for the average American.
