Better to cancel a meaningless rock concert than mess with the 2A.
To: Callahan
Hahaha. I really doubt that is the genuine reason.

So, these idiot, “Festival organizers,” actually think that before this, NOBODY was carrying their guns at these events?
The stupid. It burns...
I still bleed from my brain when they say, “THIS new gun control law is the one that criminals will obey.”
Ugh..

“that critics had dubbed the “Guns Everywhere” law….”
Guess what. There already are “guns everywhere”. You just can’t see them.

Maybe the mass shooting that was going to happen was canceled because it would be stopped by good guys with guns.

I just remember that somebody once tried to have a gun show without dealers in northern AZ. The venue they planned was for over 1,000 people. It would have been a disaster, but it was snowed out. Thankfully, because there was no way they could have handled the enormous number of sellers and buyers that wanted to attend.

Really....no kidding.
A couple years back I attended a rather large outdoor event (which I normally do not do) at a public venue in Tampa. I was armed. Hillsborough County doesn’t get in the way of CC in public.
There was absolutely no trouble that day.
Like to guess what demographic was mostly absent????

Most any medium to large venue in Atlanta has metal detectors at a minimum. You can’t even get in with a pocket knife. That said, I doubt Music Midtown was ever truly a gun free zone and probably won’t be much worse now.

And, the festival's organizers think that them posting "no guns" signs would keep criminals from carrying concealed? When will they learn?
Criminals ignore signs. "No Robbing." They ignore it.
"No killing." They ignore it.
"No guns." Ditto.

As if it would have stopped DeMarquaivious and Lil’ Trayvonte from bringing their guns to the festival.

Better to cancel a meaningless rock concert than mess with the 2A. Theirs is an easy problem to solve their butthurt - find a private venue, farm, or some other private space where they could then ban guns when they have their concert.

The gun restrictions would not and never will keep any criminal from bringing in guns anyways and doing their mass shooting.
All restricting guns would do is leave all the attendees sitting ducks.

Hahaha. I really doubt that is the genuine reason. It's not. Because Rapid City, SD hosted a music concert there and they have Constitutional Carry.
They cancelled because they didn't want the Dindu Nuffins fighting each other shooting up the place.
