Col West is a treasure. But most of us have figured out that the only black lives that matter according to BLM are criminals and/or their enablers.

Haven’t given it much thought.
BLM = Stalinazi organization. The issue ain’t the issue, the issue is revolution (and shaking down the gubmint, corporations and other various suckers so they can buy mansions and live high on the hog).
It would be deeper than West would want to go in one blog entry, but basically there’s Booker T who wanted to integrate, WEB who wanted to confront (he left the US as West said, he was Ghana way), and the various “hate Whiteys,” from Elijah Muhammad to Maulana Karenga to UHURU to BLM. No one teaches this in the black community, much less any community, so you have the black Old Guard in the House trying to confront issues that were solved generations ago, and the younger haters who just like killing and looting, and you never hear from the Bookers like West and Sowell and Clarence Thomas unless you happen to be listening to conservative media, and often not even then.

The only political organization that has ever put Blacks in America in chains is the Democrat Party, be they physical or metaphysical chains.
Denying school choice in the inner cities and relegating black children to failing public schools is an example of enslavement. Once the Democrats stood outside the doors of education preventing black kids from entering…now they stand inside the doors and prevent them from leaving for better educational opportunities.

Never occurred to me to care much.
A lot of truth in that statement, needs repeating.
Black friends have more or less told me this. They resent their kids wanting to adopt speech and habits of ghetto kids, asking why can't they just be normal like the parents? Middle class black families wrestle with this problem. Other black friends who live in the ghetto are armed with shotguns because of fear of other blacks intruding into their home.
BLM is a lie.
