Russia to Cut off Germany from Gas Thanks to Zelensky
Armstrong Economics ^ | 18 July 22 | Martin Armstrong

Posted on 07/18/2022 6:55:11 PM PDT by delta7

It is very interesting how Volodymyr Zelensky is doing whatever he can, not merely to destroy all of Europe, but to push the world into World War III because of his and Ukraine’s inherent hatred of Russians. He has told Justin Trudeau that Ukrainians would never accept Canada’s decision to return a gas turbine intended for a Russian pipeline because it would encourage more sanctions violations. Meanwhile, Gazprom has come out and stated that it could no longer guarantee its “good functioning” pipeline to Germany due to crucial turbines that are being held up in Canada because of sanctions. Gazprom has declared extraordinary circumstances to void itself from all contractual obligations to Germany, whereby the gas flow to Europe will stop flowing indefinitely. Reuters reported a letter dated July 14, 2022. Zelensky thinks cutting gas supplies to Germany will force NATO to invade Russia. Kyiv will be the first to go before Zelensky can make it to his private jet to run off to enjoy the hundreds of millions he is stashing offshore. Perhaps Germany should now invade Ukraine. It seems to be the only way to save Europe.

Our computer has been targeting here late July and August and high volatility and August as a Panic Cycle in some markets. But just about everything is going nuts into 2023. A quarterly closing above $6.25 in natural gas, which it has NOT been able to achieve this far, will confirm this is going to get much worse. Therefore, a September closing ABOVE $6.25 will be a serious warning for 2023. We had a rare Double Directional Change this quarter, so it looks like we have the most brain-dead crop of world leaders ever in human history and Zelensky, who I warned was the man who would create World War III. Even NYC lost over 5,000 small businesses thanks to COVID. There isn’t a single decision these people are capable of making. It has reached the point that people who I know personally, who would be qualified to lead, are simply not interested due to the WOKE culture. We are simply headed into a politically created nightmare. We see sharply higher volatility in August and the SIGNIFICANT risk of war coming in the first quarter of 2023. This is NOT something that is my personal opinion. The only thing that can actually target periods well in advance is an unbiased computer. It was Socrates that targeted 2008 as a Panic Cycle published back in 1999, which can be verified on the Wayback Machine. That was not only the Great Crash that set in motion negative interest rates theories, but it was the historical high in the euro.

One thing seems certain, the entirety of what is referred to as “the deep state” is hellbent for the destruction of Russia.

Why?

And remember that the same people seek the destruction of the United States, at least as it currently exists.

There seems to be no low they will not sink to in order to carry out this destruction.

The propaganda being pushed from every deep-state source is massive.

Something wicked this way comes...

Yes. It appears the Deep State and Globalists did a good job of "Lets You and Him Fight", with Ukraine and Russia.

Exactly, this is great news for conservatives that want Europe to wake up and fight the left.

This war has to be making many NATO voters rethink liberalism and weakness, unilateral disarmament in the face of the never changing Russia and liberalism/environmentalism/etc.isms in general.

The West needs to wake up and arm up to hold off Russia/Red China.

Putin’s policies are designed to unite - not destroy. Don’t you know that? Bombing a national unprovoked is proof of that, as well as taking on peaceful client states like Iran and Syria.

“That’s outrageous!! Why would Ukraine dislike Russia?

Russia is the perfect neighbor. Never did nuffin’ to nobody.”

They’ve been “buddies” through a lot of world history.

Now they aren’t buddies, it happens.

My Ukrainian girlfriend from 1998-2002 never said a bad word about Russia, that may have changed with the Russia invasion, I haven’t talked to her in 15 years.

My beef with Ukraine is petty, in 2000 she went to visit her mother in Kiev on “my dime.” A government custom official scumbag pulled her over at the airport on her way out, she emptied her purse so she wouldn’t miss her plane.

If any American Ukrainiacs are in Kiev, right now, and can retrieve my money, I’ll do a 50/50 split on $200-300 plus 4% interest with you.

Just thought I’d get my grievance “out there” with the Ukrainian “gibbedat” crowd.

P.S. Toddster, you’ve mostly been “spot on” with your financial analysis over the years. I’m looking forward to some of your financial opinions on Free Republic in the future.

True, and I think folks should remember that, and that NK’s
supreme leader is in his hip pocket for PR purposes.

Smile...

Why are we adding to ugly high national debt by sending Billions of borrowed dollars to the most corrupt country in Europe, Ukraine?

I am guessing Burisma connection by Hunter Biden and the 10% Big guy are the reasons.

This war is Europe’s problem. But Europe has sent barely 25% of what Americans have sent to aid Ukraine?

I assume you are referring to the video of him in high heels wearing a very skimpy cod piece? He certainly looked like he was ready to poke the proverbial San Fran “bear”

Before you say it was for comedy, no straight man moves like that. Period. End of sentence. He smokes pole.

They've been “buddies” through a lot of world history.

Not in the 1930s. Bit of a rough spot in the 80s.

Germany and the rest of Europe would be insane to let Russia take control of Ukraine’s energy supplies and grain.

Actually Russia has had control of Crimea’s energy since 2014 and the so called “revolutionary” war that Russia has waged in the east has prevented energy development there.

And Europe has been paying higher prices as a result of the lack of competition.

The best investment Europe can make is to make sure Ukraine kicks Russia completely out of their territory.

I think they are slowly waking up to that fact. I’ve heard Germany has promised 200 more tanks, and Poland 500 more tanks. And I’ve heard the US is sending more long range artillary and some F15’s.

Stalinist Russians enacted the Holomodor starvation on Ukraine. How many Ukrainians died? 3-6 million or so? Washinton Post says 4 million. Yes, Ukraine and Russia have a long history. (I acknowledge your sarcasm)

I don’t know of any “new” players on Russia’s team since the fall of the Soviet Union. Belarus and all Russian Federation members were already Soviet or Warsaw Pact members. There are no new players on Russia’s side. Half the continent has flipped Warsaw Pact to NATO since 1990. All of it one way.

I think you touched on a good point there.

There was no change in leadership when the USSR fell.

You’ve got mostly the same old guys, and the ones they
brought on board to replace themselves.

Putin has been there since 2004.

While that isn’t the point you wanted to make, this is true
also.

Germany should never have become dependent on Russian gas pipelines. Nobody else should have either. This connection to Russia was always a stupid idea, going back to the 1980s. Several US administrations informed several German governments accordingly, and were ignored. Quite a lot of people can tell the Germans “I told you so”.

Blame the evil crazy Greenies of Germany. They demanded "clean" natural gas from Russia. German industry loved it too. A win-win situation until Vlad Putin decides to invade, to make a natural resources grab for Ukraine. Black Sea oil and gas is in a warm climate. Easy to exploit, compared to just about of Russia's oil and gas that must be retrieved from frozen wastelands and permafrost regions. Who are the laborers and roughnecks at Russ energy projects? Russian minorities and Muslims. My theory.

And who was high up in Rosneft? Herr Schröder of course that POS.
