What about the other 100s of brands of vape units? This is kind of selective.

.... and, since this is not a law, but a arbitrary bureaucratic ruling, you cannot even sue under the legal concept of it being a Bill of Attainder.

“It used to be used as an INSECTICIDE “

It’s still used as an insecticide (and always will be)... by the plants themselves. Nicotine is a natural insecticide produced by a number of nightshade plants, not only tobacco but also tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, etc., as a weapon that the plants produce to stop insects from eating them. Caffeine serves the same function in various beans and plants (coffee, tea, cocoa etc).

It still does work really well on aphids and such. Make a tea out of just about any type of tobacco, let it cool, strain it, and spray it on. Doesn’t have to be very strong.

Or you can just chew plug tobacco and spit all over your plants.

Good question.

I also don’t like that FDA ban because tobacco cigarettes are still legal, and also the introduction of e-cigarettes has likely reduced the incidence of cigarette/nicotine disease.

Brings to mind Jeff Goldblum's character in Jurassic Park:

"Boy, do I hate being right all the time."

“Just ban them all. They were originally supposed to be a transitionary product to wean people addicted to cigarettes. They have instead become an addictive tool themselves. How about they become prescriptive items solely as part of smoking cessation programs?”

Because Americans don’t need a Mommy Government. Tell me, is there something you like that should also be banned?

No they weren’t. They were intended as a less harmful alternative.
