I was in high school 79-83, so one of my English classes included 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, and others.
They are all coming true in one wzy or another.
I must admit I didn’t really understand what that they were saying back then.
But movies like The Omega Man, Soylent Green, The Omen and Omen II, They Live, and the clips I’ve seen from ‘1984’ are indicative of our times.
None of them are perfect, of course. I remember when they seemed mostly like fiction.
Now, they seem somewhat.....
Google is protecting this perverse group? And spying on employees?
We had some good classroom discussions about those books and the warnings they were giving to us, so those books and that teacher sent me down a good path: never take freedom for granted.
I hope there are still teachers like that.
That must be really awkward.
Instead of saying “I think that the department should....”, they have to say:
