It's not a foregone conclusion that Greitens would lose, but it can only be a contest if he is in the nominee.

Why would we want Greitens to be the nominee when there are better conservatives - and certainly far better people that would not tarnish the brand - running? People who didn't resign their previous office in disgrace while having liaisons in office, for example? People who weren't Leftists until they decided to run for office in a conservative state?

Because it’s the same friggin trap as always. “this guy’s waaaay to controversial so let’s nominate another McConnell stooge because we’re too afraid to go for broke”

And that’s how we get 14 Republican senators voting for gun restrictions.
