a certain percentage of the human population are horrible people.
that percentage will be represented in all jobs.
Your basically saying because there are “some” bad cops, ALL cops should be treated like crap.
hm.. lets apply that same logic to... waiters! some waiters are bad, so .. lets be a jerk to ALL waiters and always stiff them on the tip!
Yep. Bad cops exist. But many more are just doing a job and may be having a crappy day. People do have those.
You know what? If you encounter a bad cop nothing you do or do not do will make a bit of difference ... but that doesn’t excuse making those other cops’ days more miserable than they may be having just because they encounter you.
I have NEVER caught a break because I have been polite to a cop, though previously being known by and a friend of a cop beforehand saved me a few parking tickets in college, but I’m not being considerate of others because of how I may benefit.
In all my years I’ve never had a bad encounter with a cop. Sometimes they’ve been annoying but I did nothing to antagonize them.
Perhaps if more perfect people like you would become police wed all be better off
