Supply Chain Woes Hitting American Families: ‘It Is Very Hard’
Breitbart ^ | 06/18/2022 | Hannah Bleau

U.S. families are struggling to make ends meet as multiple supply chain issues continue to affect many aspects of their lives amid record high gas prices and 41-year-high inflation.

Online news outlet the 19th highlighted one such case this week as an Indianapolis mother, Diamond Cotton, has struggled to find basic products she needs for her family. She has been forced to go from store to store to find tampons for her daughters, “who have both started menstruating and would need tampons to go swimming this summer,” according to the outlet.

You mean too busy falling off his bike to care.
Training wheels when?

Curious to know what other FReepers have a hard time finding.

Myself, I tried to buy an adding machine - you know, with a roll of paper in it. There was but one at the store and it was $88!! No thanks I will use a calculator. A month later visited an Office Depot in another city and they had none.

How much benefits are we giving to the people not to work?

The takeaway for Cotton is pretty clear: “For women and children, there is not enough support,” she said.

And why is this my problem?

I’m not having a problem finding anything I need. I just have a problem being able to afford what I want and paying for the gas to get what I need.

Wait till diesel fuel gets so high it will no longer be economically viable to transport goods. When food, water, can no longer be bought and people begin dying of thirst and starving to death no doubt Pelos, Liz Cheney and A damn Schitt will still be holding their Stalinist Jan. 6th trial.

>>>tampons for her daughters, “who have both started menstruating and would need tampons to go swimming this summer,”

Hmmm, do men who identify as women menstruate also?

Maybe we’ll all become minimalists. The variations in product sizes and types have never appealed to me. My wife once asked me to pick up some laundry detergent one day. I thought that would be easy until I got to the market. I was confronted by different sizes, powder and liquid, pods, packets, fragrances, whitening, regular, deluxe, anti bacterial, hyper allergenic, organic...oh my lord; is this really necessary? Does our happiness really depend on all of this convoluted marketing? I need food, water, a warm dry place to sleep, and an occasional dram of good whiskey. And my rifle and my dog. That’s it.

WTI crude is down $12 / barrel in the last nine days. We'll see what happens next week, but the collapse may have begun.

There was also no baby formula shortage until all of these MEN started giving birth, too!

Did ya notice that? LOL!

A guy on the rAdio was telling an anecdote a peripheral factoid from which was that it took THREE WEEKS to get a part for his car. This really grabbed me I don’t even remember what he was otherwise talking about. In two separate incidents my work truck lost a day because they could only get the part from so far away that they had do the work the next day. A radiator and front rotors for an F350 should be there in about 15 min. Imagine being down for 3 weeks…

Joe's response: Don't go swimming, or transition your girls to boys so they can go swimming.

Having problems trying to find something that probably isn't being made anymore is not a supply chain issue.

I've quietly prepped throughout the Trump years. I knew Trump wasn't going to be President forever, and I'm glad my intuition paid off.

Unfortunately, I still need eggs. I don't think my landlord will let me grow some free-range chickens.

We rarely buy anything but food. Have too much junk already. Learned long ago to delay a purchase until I forgot why I wanted it.

Check ebay or thrift stores or ask friends.

They still make adding machines! At Office Max and at Office Depot they have shelves for them. They are just empty.

She should check the men restrooms and raid their tampon machines.

Are the daughters swimming at a public pool or at home? If at home, who cares. If a public pool, then they can skip 5 days a month. Such trying times when kids can’t go to the pool every day... /s. Or maybe save the tampons they have only for the pool. Gee, whatever did women throughout history do???

Single mom but 4 months pregnant? Well, I think we found the problem.

If that’s her in the picture, she’s not a wise shopper because those greens sticking out the tote aren’t budget friendly. That one little tote isn’t going to make many meals so she’ll be walking back to however many different stores tomorrow. She should be thankful for nearby stores instead of driving 40 miles.
