“UAVs (unidentified aerial vehicles)”
Unidentified?
I’m confused after issuing a warning to the vessel operating the drones to stop, shoot the drones down and send a notice, approach a US Navy warship is done at your own risk
So they know what the ship was, so how’s it mysterious? The inflated word salads the media spewws is just down right nauseating.
Hmmm. I’d not heard/read about this incident until now.
I’m thinking this was a hostile act and the drones should have been eliminated immediately. Russians and or Chinese would never allow this against one of their ships.
Makes us sound like wimps, if you believe it. Did it take them this long to figure out, or were they just too frightened to engage at the time, seems to be what they’re begging.
Why weren’t they blown out of the sky?
Why weren’t they blown out of the sky?
The Naval vessel should have boarded and seized the spy ship like the Norks did with the Pueblo.
Why was a shoot down order not given. Too busy painting the rainbow flag on side of ship
I would have sunk that cargo ship in a minute.
You can bet that once the ships saw the flashing navigation lights on the drones, they immediately isolated the signals and knew they were from the “mystery ship”.
Not using weapons against a non-hostile target is a waste of weapons, and a revelation of capabilities.
The most disturbing thing about this article was finding out there is a USS Gabrielle Giffords.
While I think this incident is important and should be looked into, it shouldn’t be confused with the USS Nimitz “tic-tac” incident in November of 2004.
Interesting that the incident locations are close, though.
