The defence chiefs of China and the United States held face-to-face talks for the first time on Friday, with both sides standing firm on their opposing views over Taiwan's right to rule itself, Reuters reported.

China today said that Beijing will "not hesitate to start a war" if Taiwan declares independence, AFP reported.

The warning was issued by China's defence minister during the first face-to-face talks with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin in Singapore.

"If anyone dares to split Taiwan from China, the Chinese army will definitely not hesitate to start a war no matter the cost," Wu Qian quoted defence minister Wei Fenghe as saying during a meeting with Lloyd Austin.

"Taiwan is China's Taiwan... Using Taiwan to contain China will never prevail", the ministry said.

So there you have it. The Ukraine was a distraction to China's pending move on Taiwan. And given the collapsing NATO structure, China will take what they want without a whimper

Taiwan would never “declare” independence without going nuclear first.

Wars and rumors of war.

We sure do live in interesting times.

Weakness encourages aggression.

We thought Ukraine would go down without a whimper. Taiwan will fight.

Didn’t the pro Ukrainian war FReepers say we needed to support Ukraine to show the Chinese a lesson about Taiwan?

the idiotic deep-state, in their wet dreams of woke, globalist empire, have spent the last 20 years pushing Russia into the arms of China.

Now they have gambled with Ukraine, and in the process have inflicted great economic harm on the West, exposed our weaknesses on energy, materials and debt, and cemented the entire Eurasian landmass in opposition to the United States and West

Well done, idiots!

I’m assuming that Taiwan already has nukes. And that several of them are at various spots along the base of the Three Gorges Dam. And a big, dirty one several kilometers back from the dam.

Invade, someone turns a key. . . and within an hour, most of China’s industrial heartland is a radioactive hell of ruins destroyed by a near-supersonic wave of live steam. . .

When informed of China’s threat, Biden said, “How will this affect my 10% cut? And where is my morning pudding?”

So if China wants to roll the dice, now might not be a bad time. Still, 100 miles of ocean is not so easy to cross.

Yeah. But never forget that Commies are always big with threats and bluster. They are far less prepared to invade Taiwan than they are leading the world to believe. You need more than gear. You need troops who aren’t little princes who don’t need counselling when they spend a week in the field. And you need generals who don’t buy their positions in cash.

I dont think it (The Ukraine) was a distraction at all.

It was triggered by the installment of the useless and ignorant pig faced SOB in the White House.

They have been waiting for this moment...and now it is here.
