Doctors were able to miraculously deliver a pregnant mother’s baby after she was fatally shot in Philadelphia early Saturday morning, cops said.

City police found the mother with a gunshot wound to the head on the street near Richmond Street and Wheatsheaf Lane in Port Richmond just after 1 a.m.

Years ago I was working in the ER of a major hospital.One evening we got a woman in who had been shot in the head (by her husband,as it turns out). She was 7-8 months pregnant. She was dead when she arrived but they tried to save the baby...our hospital was world famous for OB/GYN care and its neonatal ICU.

But the baby died a couple of days later.

One of the nurses who was on that night...a "battle hardened" ER nurse...said it was the most horrible thing she ever saw.

Investigators said they believe the shooter is a man who was driving a black or blue Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Charger.

She was in her early twenties. My assumption is she probably knew the shooter.

What would they have done if the mother was on the way to an abortion clinic and began delivering?

The answer depends on who is asked.
Answer from raging insane feminazis: transport the baby to the abortion clinic which will kill the baby.
Answer from the rest of humanity: save the baby.

Unfortunately, few are able to see the following fact: the baby is a baby before being born. The baby does not become a baby when the mother consents to delivering the baby.
