Vaccine requirements have destroyed businesses here in the US too. Just got a ,enter informing me that the dentists are no longer doing things like extractions, teeth capping, or filling cavities, and will now jusy do “teeth cleanings, x-rays, and exams” (but apparently Wil. Do “emergency work” if someone needs it, but who knows what they Will declare to,be emergencies or not?)
The hospitsl,has canceled several departments and things like a few of their cafeterias “because of labor shortages” ie because they demanded that their employees get vaccinated, and many refused, so they fired them.
All over the place we are seeing departments or services canceled because of “labor shortages “ and seeing hours cut. We went from a thriving society where if you had a filling fall out of a tooth, you could call, make an appointment, and get it filled to one where they no longer Wil, fill your tooth u less it is an “emergency” where they have the so,e discretion of determining what an emergency is. A society now where you can’t get hospital care unless it is absolutrly,necessary, again, they get to determine.
I bet a lot of the increase in deaths the last two years was due to folks not getting the care they needed, not getting checkups thsy cou,d have discovered deadly diseases etc.
Toe the line or you’re out?! This will change the shape of the parliament.

Adding: I, and family members,are having all sorts medical procedures done in our state.
In the US, east coast. Yup, just got the letter from our local health center dentist offices a few days ago. I think they are severely understaffed because many health care workers in our area refused to get vaccinated
The aspect of the “labor shortage” situation, health care delays you point out appears real to me.
The burden of wearing masks in work places also was a deterrent I worked 60 plus hours a week at one point in mask wearing environments during the last two years I ended up retiring from one job during all this turmoil.
I had surgery the other week finally FEMA took over the hospital earlier this year to muck it up plus they were doing COVID tests its weird I got a COVID test just before the surgery a few weeks ago only a little bit into the nose earlier this year I was told to stick the swab way in.
Maybe the medical industry is more into making some money again as the federal subsidy runs out.
It’s real, I made an appointment a hear ago to,have a cavity refilled, they told me they woild call when they got an opening. They never did call, then I got the letter last week telling me no more fillings, only cleanings (whichmis their bread and butter service- they are understaffed, but apparently not so understaffed that they can’t do copious amounts of cleanings
I’ve put the dentist on the back burner right now cleanings are paid for by insurance a steady stream of $$$$.
I’m gonna lose my back tooth if it doesn’t get filled, and I don’t have many back teeth left either. Don’t know what I’m gonna do. I doubt they Will label it as emergency either.
The test is way better than it used to be. Thnakfully I never had the original test done. Thst one was horrible they say. The home tests also only go a little into,the nostrils thankfully. I gotta keep,an eye on possible covid and variants to know when to start taking ivermectin, zinc etc. As I have a couple comorbities. I did get omicron, but wasn’t too bad. Likely,from now on all the variants will be not too severe, but still, it’s nice to know so,I can start taking stuff to,help combat it.
May have to shop around look somewhere else.
I got the dental floss at the table with me now. Time for my daily cleaning routine.
