The only thing that matter,is Russians are still dying and their armor is being whittled down. Reported yesterday that T-62s are being sent into Ukraine due to heavy losses of T-72s and T-80s. The T-62 is slower, lighter, less armored, and no match against today’s technology. It has a crew of 4 vs 3.
Russia cannot replace their losses on the production line. It’s calling up 10,000 tanks, half which are operational and the other half used for parts, which are no longer produced.
The problem is that none of us have any idea how the war is going because we have professional narrators who weave their stories with no facts to constrain them. Are the Russians getting wiped out? Are the Ukrainians? Who knows? We do know one thing and that is that the US is footing this fiasco, and the men behind the curtains are the only ones that know what they want.
The T-62s are being deployed in the rear to control the land areas already taken, not directly to the front lines.
Russia has plenty of tanks, and perhaps more importantly plenty of diesel to run them...despite what the western fabulists are saying.

My first thoughts exactly. Are the reports regarding reactivating old T-62 tanks false and if not what does that indicate about Russian reserves. Not a very good indicator for the Russians if true. Secondly with over 40M people, Ukraine should be able to train and field more soldiers regularly. How many more able bodied men turn 17 this year?

The T-62's are not being used in battle on the front. They are used in the conquered areas to assist squads manning checkpoints etc. They are perfect for this purpose.
