Because if they let one domino fall, they wouldn’t be able to stop the rest. Also, I don’t think they would “love it” one bit. They want to dominate us, not to allow us to have freedom by peaceful leaving the union.
No, don’t skip secession. If as you say war is inventible why not go that way. At least doing that some semblence of lines can be drawn.

I’m not against it, I just was trying to explain why “nobody talks about it”. It’s kind of a moot point, since it won’t succeed in it’s goal of a peaceful separation, that’s all.

Sure I do. You are talking about lefties from states like California and New York who tend to “invade” red states quite constantly and attempt to turn them into clones of the states they left behind, right?

Hey, I haven’t advocated for a civil war, so please don’t assume that I prefer that. I just think it would be the inevitable result, since that’s what has happened before and the federal government has only become more domineering, and less bound to the principles of Republican government that it was a century and a half ago. I see no reason to believe they would suddenly decide that peaceful secession is something they would allow to happen.
