Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that social media company chief executives should be held accountable if hate speech is not monitored and removed on their platforms.
Discussing the investigation into the mass shooting in a Buffalo grocery store, Hochul said, “I want to know what people knew and when they knew it and calling upon law enforcement as well as our social media platforms. The CEOs of those companies need to be held accountable and assure all of us that they’re taking every step humanly possible to be able to monitor this information. How these depraved ideas are fermenting on social media – it’s spreading like a virus now. The white supremacy manifestos – the white supremacy concepts of replacement theory where they’re concerned and now taking to the streets in places like Charlottesville and others, motivated by this idea that immigrants and Jews and blacks are going to replace whites. And that is spreading through social media platforms that need to be monitored and shut down the second these words are espoused out there in these platforms.”

That’s not the right’s argument. Our argument is that illegal immigrants should not be brought in without any limitations to replace the citizen’s political will.

I got a better idea, remove Hochul from the New York Governorship.
Apparently, law enforcement knew about this nut.
He had previously said he wanted to shoot up a school.
And they let him off without any charges or even putting a “red flag” on him to keep him from buying guns.
Shut-up, whiny old bat. Hate speech to Hochul is whatever is said that disagrees with how a democrat thinks.
And, there is the crux of the issue. Who gets to decide what is ‘hate speech’? Who gets to decide what must be quashed?

He had to be allowed to kill for the left to push their political ends of disarming the populous. Arresting someone for threatening to kill doesn't increase government's power over us.

Hochul is the defacto CEO of the entire State on New York and should be held to account for anything that is said or written by anyone in that State.

I seems to me I’ve heard this scenario many times before.
Authorities had someone who was clearly in a violent state of mind and made threats to society.
So they bring them in, talk with them and then let them go.
