That was me, and then my twins were allergic to milk. They had to be on an expensive formula. I feel sorry for parents struggling to get formula.
I read that it is being bought up and sent to China.
My wife was offered a shot after giving birth to dry up her milk. She didn’t want to breast feed. I don’t remember her reason.
I can understand that but baby formula manufacturers have been accused of marketing their products as a substitute for breast feeding even when woman could breast feed. As with doctors promoting drugs from drug companies (opiod crisis) I have no doubt some doctors were happy to promote baby formula instead of breast feeding. Follow the money.
A few medically but most just can’t be bothered. My wife couldn’t because “it hurt”. I told her to flick the baby in the head when he gets too rough. He’d figure it out. Good thing it wasn’t 200 years ago before formula was a thing.
