The CDC suggests people at high risk for severe disease in those counties consider wearing a mask in indoor public settings. >>> Looks like the “My Mask protects you” meme is no longer in effect. Now if they are at risk why not allow a good 3M6000 p95 mask to actually offer some protection for the wearer?

Most of the maskers in NY and NJ wear the cheap disposable crap that does nothing to prevent the wearer from getting COVID.

Times like this I wish I lived in a part of the country where people (and the authorities) gave up on COVID Kabuki mask theatre a long time ago.

Interestingly, I was reading that they are trying to figure out why mask-wearing and isolation practicing places have a higher rate than places that do not do this.

Nobody knows exactly how Covid is transmitted…they know it’s not through droplets.

There’s speculation now that it’s a fecal-oral transmission route, since bat viruses are transmitted through feces. People having contact with the waste of an infected person…for example, somebody who didn’t wash their hands leaving the bathroom or somebody who had contaminated food by touching it with dirty hands, etc … get it on their hands or ingest it or touch their faces so the virus in the fecal matter can enter through the mouth or the eyes.

So in other words, the only worthwhile thing they told us was to wash our hands and not touch our faces. (Masks are usually filthy and people touch their faces all the time adjusting them.)

Your mother always told you to wash your hands!
