An often-repeated story about W.C. Fields holds that as he approached the end of his life, a friend was surprised to find him reading a Bible.
“Looking for loopholes, m’boy,” he reportedly explained. “Looking for loopholes.”
That scene comes to mind these days as I hear the standard response given by the National Rifle Association, the Gun Owners of America and other gun rights groups to even the most modest attempts to inject a little sanity into our nation’s gun laws.
The latest example of loophole-seeking has emerged in the recent pandemic of “ghost guns.” I’m not talking about the spirits of deceased firearms. “Ghost guns,” as many have been learning, is a street nickname for home-assembled firearms. Their parts can be 3D printed or ordered over the internet and constructed at home like Ikea furniture to produce a full-fledged gun.

Clarence Page
Another Dinosaur of Corporate Media propaganda
Just go away already . . .
This is a LIE. Outright. This is the lever they have pulled, and pulled, and pulled again to continue to infringe on that Right that explicitly states "Shall not be infringed".
Their calumny should carry with it very real, even deadly, consequences.
Is there a loophole in the Second Amendment that I’m overlooking that allows infringement?
This old pile of racist dogsqueezins is still alive?
Joe and Rapin’ Bill’s lawn jockey will be 75 in June.
A government requiring registration and serial numbers infringes on the inalienable right to keep and bear arms.
There is only one legitimate gun law in this nation. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. All others are in violation of that.
“Commerce Clause” is what they have used for EVERY unConstitutional expansion of government power.
“...the recent pandemic of “ghost guns”...
Pandemic?
I’ve read 2-3 articles about those nothingburgers, but the leftist/commie/socialist/demoKKKrats/progs/anarcists etc need a nail to hang their hat on.
Clarence should agree with this:
“We need to get all guns out of the hands of blacks.”
Why do so many authors write authoritative articles about things they know absolutely nothing about?
He ignores the advantage of guns that are untraceable in preventing firearms confiscation via a gun registry.
He ignores the infringement of Constitutional rights.
I had no idea this dumbass was still around.
Three reasons:
1. To advance the political narrative they approve.
2. To be paid.
3. To reinforce the prejudices of their base.
“recent pandemic of ghost guns” - Suuure. I found a couple of them lying in the street the other day. They’re everywhere. I’m scared to death I’ll get hit in the head by one of them falling out of the sky.
A badly misinterpreted clause, for sure.
What they don’t realize is that we don’t need them to explain anything to us about guns!
Has there ever been a crime committed with a home made 3d printed gun? No?
What percentage of crime is committed with a gun built from parts acquired from various sources...1/10 of a percent or so?
What percentage of gun crime is actually committed by people who are already criminals that the liberals brain falling out minds won’t keep locked up away from society...85%?
What percentage of gun crime is committed by people who should be in an institution for their mental illness but are not because the liberal mind thinks that is against their “rights”...10% maybe?
