So you're not allowed to question certain events like Jussie Smollett or WMDs etc?

What happened to the First Amendment?

Also no jury either... What happened to that?

He went past the claim about Sandy Hook and went to slander, when he basically said that the families were in on the act of the murder of their children.

If he kept his position to questioning whether it was a false flag, he might not have been able to sue.

Have you got video or evidence of that?

It’s one thing to question. It’s quite another to slander.

What about a conviction by a jury of your peers I thought that was in the U.S. constitution

It was a civil case not criminal.

Alex did more than question. What he said was outrageous. He did it to himself. Stupid should hurt

He eventually admitted in a deposition that the event was real. Two courts found him guilty.

So judges in the US are allowed to bankrupt anyone with default judgments and no jury ?

Why is this allowed?

He should have kept his position to it being a real event, because children did die, and question whether or not the assailants may have been agents of the government.

Because your system allows $100 million settlements.

Very sad, but it is a risk one runs in his niche.

Being strategic matters. Taking the wrong strategy…

Seriously? That's your attempt to defend what he did?

In the US there are things like jury trials and free speech

A default judgement comes from not responding. Alex lost because he had no defense.

Use he way back machine if you need to. Infowars carried pictures of people he claimed were crisis actors and that the Sandy Hook killings were a fals flag and that the parents grieving were phonies. He ranted about it often. It was disgusting. It’s when I quit listening to him

Yes, but this wasn’t an issue of free speech. And I think you probably know that.

Nor was it an issue of a jury trial. When you refuse to comply with discovery you risk default judgment. And I think you probably know that as well.

Alex Jones’ problems are due to Alex Jones.

He’s an arrogant conspiracy theorist and precisely the sort of belligerent weirdo conservatives don’t need. He provides little to no original content other than hosing and commentary on other people’s reporting. In this particular case he went off on his own tangent, causing real harm (a tort) to the families, and is now paying the price as adjudicated in a court of law. He’s not cutting edge or avant garde, he’s schlocky and manic.

Jim Robinson banned his content for years, and I can understand why.

Now do bankrupt New York Times, the Washington Post, CBS, NBC, PBS, ABC, CNN, AP.

They are causing their readers and listeners to burn down cities and do terrorist attacks.

Alex Jones caused his readers to do some prank phone calls.
