Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams called out Black Lives Matter’s (BLM) silence on the rising number of shootings and crime-related deaths throughout the city during a Thursday interview with Spectrum News.
The host asked the mayor how to handle the increasing number of shootings occurring in the city, as she cited that over a dozen shootings took place on Wednesday night alone.
“By being consistent with our message. Here’s my question that I put out to the city. Hey, I thought black lives matter. Where are all those who stated ‘black lives matter?’ Then go do an analysis of who was killed or shot last night. I was up all night speaking to my commanders in the Bronx and Brooklyn. The victims were black, many of the shooters were black.”
“So I asked a question that was they were asking me when I was a child, it’s 10 p.m., do you know where your children are? Why are 16, 17 and 18-year-olds out in our streets armed with guns till 1 o’clock at night? When are we going to start asking these serious questions? If black lives matter, then the thousands of people I saw on the street when Floyd was murdered should be on the street right now stating that the lives of these children who are dying every night matters. We can’t be hypocrites.”

I'd like to know where are the parents of the young animals?.....why do they allow them to have guns?....why are they out on the street at all hrs?....

Adams is no better than Warren Wilhelm. He’s soft on crime too. He just talks a better game.

With all his previous years of service in law enforcement, I don’t know who he thinks he’s kidding with these comments. This guy is a big phony. Black on black crime has always been a big problem in New York City, and every other Democrat-run shithole city, and he’s known this all along. He played politics all those years, and kept his mouth shut about it, in order to win the affirmative action promotion game. He’s now got an audience as Mayor, and is paid well for putting on his fake outrage act for the public, and the media.

The solution, according to the Dems, is to have better messaging... Really? Messaging is going to stop street violence? Not changing policy or increasing enforcement, but proper messaging? Rhetorical questioning here and a good dose of sarcasm.
Surprised more people did not dissect the choice of words there....

BLM was a horrible scourge upon the black community and American children are paying for it every day in many communities where the police were driven out to satisfy the political goals of the left and mafia style intimidation of corporations by fraudsters ala Sharpton/Jackson style.
That is the real crime nobody talks about. What about the kids?
