Fox News Digital has seemingly decided to switch gears in favor of Republican firebrand and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, touting him as a strong 2024 contender for Donald Trump

After a recent falling out with former President Donald Trump, Fox News appears to be gassing up another Republican contender for the 2024 nomination: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

On Sunday, the conservative network ran a piece on the new Republican man of the hour and gushed over DeSantis' fundraising prowess.

With the deadline to report March totals to the Florida Secretary of State approaching, DeSantis - branded 'a fundraising behemoth' by Rupert Murdoch's network - has raised more than $109 million through his reelection campaign and his political committee Friends of DeSantis.

He’s a great governor, but he’s not Trump.

Trump in 2024, and DeSantis in 2028.

Trump administration's latest in a string of attacks on trans people: trans students, trans service members, & now employment protections for trans workers. This systematic gutting of non-discrimination protections for trans people is a disgrace! @jeffsessions @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/gVOoRk39fQ— Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) October 5, 2017

There are problems with Fox. COVID vaccine pushing. The pushing of Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner, who at least says biological males shouldn’t be allowed in women’s sports. Still, I think they’re useful in this media landscape. I take what I can get from them. Tucker has an excellent populist show. I thought Mark Levin was implicitly criticizing Tucker Sunday when he discussed the Putin wing among Republicans. I’ve generally liked Mark Levin but these last couple of weeks where he has criticized so-called protectionists and so-called isolationists and criticized Pat Buchanan, I changed the channel. Doesn’t Trump believe in staying out of foreign wars, protecting American jobs and tariffs?

No need to choose between Trump and DeSantis. We can have both. Trump in 2024 and DeSantis in 2028 and beyond.

Between Trump and DeSantis, I’m undecided at this point. Trump might be too old, or in ill health, by 2024. I’ll wait and see till the primary comes to California before I decide who to vote for.

DeSantis tried to get Rush to issue him a degree from his ‘Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies’. Too bad he was turned down because he really has earned it. I still prefer Trump though , if only because of the way he makes leftist heads explode.

Prefer DeSantis. Trump’s personnel picks were bad too often.

Would like to see who is a stronger contender against the Democrats. Trump is more charismatic but he has also alienated nearly half the voters.

“Between Trump and DeSantis”

I am a big DJT Fan. Best thing that ever happened to the american presidency in my opinion. However the media and the democrats exploited his faults to their advantage. And he never learned to contain those issues. That makes him a liability. DeSantis does not display those faults.

DeSantis is an even keeled family man who has practiced the art of standing up to the political media. They’ve been going after him with Hammer and Tong for years now on key social and economic issues. He’s taken on the hot button issues and survived the incoming fire from the Local and National Corporate, Media and Political machinery.

Who do the democrats have? Tulsi Gabbard? They hate her! They’ll probably try to run that dimwitted bartender AOC.

Yeah, Mark is slipping backwards. This is why I don’t trust him. He sounds right on, then makes a Uturn. Every stinking time.

No contest. Trump has my vote. DeSantis hasn’t always been such a hero. He learned from Trump. If he runs in ‘28, maybe I’ll vote for him.

DeSantis was a House rep. He scored a purple.
