IMO, in a political sense farmers are OVER represented relative to their economic importance to society. They hold some spell over the GOP.

Indeed. all the tech in the world is useless when you are starving to death. Corporate America is so short sighted, that they still think it’s a good idea to import ‘food’ of dubious quality from 3rd world crapholes produced by slave labor. It’s insane, and yet you’ll even find cheerleaders for that here on FR
