The World Health Organization advised Ukraine to destroy high-threat pathogens housed in the country's public health laboratories to prevent "any potential spills" that would spread disease among the population, the agency told Reuters on Thursday.
Biosecurity experts say Russia's movement of troops into Ukraine and bombardment of its cities have raised the risk of an escape of disease-causing pathogens, should any of those facilities be damaged.
Like many other countries, Ukraine has public health laboratories researching how to mitigate the threats of dangerous diseases affecting both animals and humans including, most recently, COVID-19. Its labs have received support from the United States, the European Union and the WHO.
In response to questions from Reuters about its work with Ukraine ahead of and during Russia's invasion, the WHO said in an email that it has collaborated with Ukrainian public health labs for several years to promote security practices that help prevent "accidental or deliberate release of pathogens."
"As part of this work, WHO has strongly recommended to the Ministry of Health in Ukraine and other responsible bodies to destroy high-threat pathogens to prevent any potential spills," the WHO, a United Nations agency, said.

The Ukraine at no point indicated that they were going to
install nukes on it’s soil.
Estonia and Latvia have been members of NATO for some time
and they don’t have them.
I know the case is trying to be made by Russia and those who
have fallen for it, that the Ukraine plays the part of Cuba
here.
We both know that isn’t true.
The Ukraine has not build up it’s military and parked on
it’s border with Russia.
And what would they say if Putin set up biolabs along the Mexico border?

Those biolabs are nothing and the focus on them is silly. Russia certainly isn’t focusing on them, except for propaganda.

The threatened to DEVELOP NUKES last year, per the article (as we claimed Iraq was doing), maybe not enough for you to roll your tanks, but enough for Putin.

Perhaps if we bothered to read up a bit on their history, we’d figure out that they’ve paid some horrible prices for assuming only good intentions from threatening countries near them.

Actually, I first heard about them when our State Department REMOVED their information from their Ukraine website (hmmm, I wonder why?).
Hard to blame Putin if we gave him the idea.
My theory, (totally unproven) has been that those so called crematorium trucks that were touted as being used to dispose of Russian casualties, were actually to be used to incinerate pathogens and dangerous virus samples.
If this so-called “research” in Ukraine is benign, why has it all been hidden from the American people by the U.S. Department of Defense?
Why is one of the poorest countries in Europe so heavily involved in this bio research of the most dangerous pathogens on Earth?
Why are U.S. taxpayers funding this research in Ukraine?
Ukraine does not have the money to set up all of these labs and fund the research.
This is obviously an American operation in violation of international prohibitions of work with such dangerous pathogens. U.S. laws prohibit such research on U.S. soil because of the dangers.
These scoundrels are putting the people of Ukraine and the entire world in great danger of mass murder by potential release of these bio-weapons.
i hope that the Russians obliterate these facilities.
Putin has biolabs. They don’t have to be on the border for
them to be utilized
The Ukraine is no worse than Russia on that issue.
Has Russia demanded that China destroy all it’s BioLabs?China has a large border with Russia.
Did Russia demand they do away with their nukes? Is the
Ukraine sending some of its people into Russia, to occupy
it in the East?
Russia is pretty danged selective about who it wants to
bully on this issue.

The government of Ukraine has been shelling its own citizens in the Donbass region because they sought autonomy from Ukraine.
That sounds like “hostile” action to me when the region simply did not want to capitulate to Zelensky and his bullies so were deemed deserving of bombardment and mass casualties.
You obviously do not have all the facts.
So last week these labs were just conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda and now it seems like maybe they’re real and maybe it’s not so much propaganda well at least you and all your lefty friends are in agreement on something I suppose

rock solid, you ignore everything else.
Does China have BioLabs? Does it have nukes? Is Russia
demanding they do away with them? Where it the buffer zone?
China is facilitating it’s nationals to occupy the
Easter portion Russia. Has Putin demanded they stop?
