It is just too bad that a sufficient number of Ukrainian pilots are not trained on or have the expertise to operate A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthogs”, as these are perhaps the best of close air support aircraft in use today.
Coming in at about 50 feet off the deck at 350 knots and strafing a convoy pretty much puts a halt to any forward advancement of logistical support. And a one-second burst of fire from the Gatling gun in its nose pretty much busts up most armored vehicles.
We have about 350 left, and cannot build any more. So lets give them to a corrupt welfare nation Joe Biden and Pelosi love so mucho.
They did have and were trained on the second best ground attack craft, the SU-25 Frogfoot.

The problem is that the A-10 is a type that has never been in the Ukrainian Air Force. In fact it has never been sold overseas previously. If types that are currently in the Ukrainian Air Force are added, there's deniability that NATO is involved in direct combat. The gun is a bit overrated. The Russians have much better anti-aircraft defense than previous opponents the USAF has faced. It's the ability to add smart air to ground standoff weapons that makes the A-10 viable. Those can added to the Soviet/Russian fighters.
