Russian fighter jet was shot down by Ukrainian forces. Pilots catapulted from the aircraft and landed in Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast.

Russia seems to be exercising great restraint. Much of their forces are still in rear positions, surprising many who are used to American-style "Shock and Awe" campaigns.
They seem to be testing the waters. Could be also that the Russian military on the ground has no great desire to slaughter Ukrainians and level their cities to ruins. At some point, this will need to be resolved at the bargaining table.
