Her comments surprised nobody. Everyone has always known that she’s a fundamentally indecent human being

It is a strange commentary on our culture that she has a microphone and a platform.
So very privileged. So very wealthy. And yet so aggrieved.

And of course, NBC had to label Donald Trump, and by extension his followers, as racist fascists.
Trump was a friend of Jews as President. Whoopi called for Don Imus to be fired in 2007.
That was a nauseating read. A leftist takes Goldberg’s antisemitic comment and does all kinds of contortions to use it as a condemnation of Trump and “anti-vaxxers.”

According to this spin, Whoopi inadvertently made an imperfect statement, and the real problem is that her inadvertently imperfect statement might somehow embolden Trump.

Ashkenazi genetics is a real thing, people can indeed be identified as “Jewish” by ancestry, pretty reliably as I seem to recall. And ancestry is what the Nazis cared about in their Nuremberg laws. Just because Jews aren’t dark skinned doesnt mean there isn’t a biological basis for difference.
This is one of those absurdities of American parochialism. American political argument on racial matters seems to trump all other human experience. The norm for racial (or ethnic if you like, but there is usually ancestry/biology involved) is that a local majority ends up persecuting a “market dominant minority” (Thomas Sowell’s term), due to their relative success, not their inferiority.
I must agree with that analysis, Miss. Goldberg (who ironically appropriated a Jewish surname as her professional moniker) has enabled the fascist Democrats and Leftists to further their embrace of Anti-Jewish policies ...
The author passes from the acceptable to the dubious, and ends up doing what he criticizes Goldberg of doing. The business of racism and bigotry is about creating artificial categories of people, so you can then proceed to dehumanize them. Halfway through the article, he plays that game against “anti-vaxxers” and political conservatives.
The author preemptively labels people that he hates “fascists”, apparently thinking that this somehow disguises or justifies his own irrational hatreds. It doesn’t. Who’s the real bigot? Who’s the real fascist?
Caryn Elaine Johnson’s mother apparently had similar notions of ancestry as did Elizabeth Warren’s mother. DNA testing of both children revealed otherwise.
The left is mentally ill.

I can’t believe the breath and bandwidth being wasted on this person. Who can watch this stuff? I was a captive audience to “The View” one time in a mechanic’s shop and that was enough for me. I remember when we had intelligent, serious programs that dealt with public affairs: William F. Buckley, David Susskind, Tom Snyder. There were some great local TV programs. Now we have clown shows populated with ignorant loudmouths. We live in a bizarre place in which the likes of Whoopi have influence. Everyone would be better off by skipping “The View” and watching Jerry Springer reruns instead.
