Undocumented immigrants ages 55 and up may soon qualify for public food assistance

Food assistance soon may be available to undocumented immigrants ages 55 and older as Gov. Gavin Newsom proposes to expand public food programs.

The idea is part of his 2022-23 budget plan, where a little over $35 million of the total $286 billion budget would be put toward the expansion of CalFresh and other food programs. This expansion would make it so that all low-income people 55 and older can be eligible for food assistance regardless of immigration status.

An estimated 2 million undocumented immigrants call California home, the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California reports. The move is a major step toward addressing food insecurity among low-income communities, advocates and state officials agreed in a videoconference announcing the bill Jan. 13.

California is no longer fit for people with a job, unless being a looter is a job. Newsom wants it to be a third world armpit, and he’s doing it.

This regime cares more about illegal aliens than US citizens. Sad and disgraceful, but what do you expect from commies and globalists.

Everyone blasts talk of secession. And doesn’t want civil war.
But what do we call it when California has one set of citizenship criteria and benefits and the rest of the country has another? So far. As NYC they could soon say voting rights for non citizens and felons still in prison are permitted.

And yet the laws on the books define aiding and abetting an illegal alien as a Federal offense. Feeding them probably comes under that category.

If California can drive tax paying citizens out of public schools they will have more room for illegal immigrants.

Who are they kidding? I’m sure there are way over 2 million ILLEGALS just in the Southern California area (which has a population of ~24 million). No way ILLEGALS are around 8% of the population in SoCal.

Of course we might have a much better estimate if the census bureau under President Trump had been allowed to ask citizenship status as they tried.

Newsom needs to pay his new supporters.

Since he and his aunt were running out of American voters, who were aborting themselves out of existence, they have to import a new people that can be bought.

We voted against this 2:1 back in 1994 under Prop 187 and the final portions of that voter approved initiative were shredded a year and a half ago by the Mexicon Reconquista front in the State legislature, led by the foreigner Kevin de Leon.

Now Newsom wants to import more of his buddies in a coup de gras against the hated Protestant Americans, now a minority in the State their ancestors settled.

I agree with your premise. We are all entied to, and the government is obligated to ensure, equal treatment under the law.

Twenty years ago, it was estimated that 1 in 8-10 in the US was illegal.

True.
At 4:30 a.m. on April 12, 1861, Confederate troops fired on Fort Sumter in South Carolina’s Charleston Harbor.

Wonder why we both had that on our minds today.😇
