I understand blacks are upset about slavery, but guess what? Not all slaves were black and blacks are not the only racial group who has suffered.

Even as slaves and throughout Reconstruction, Jim Crow, and segregation, blacks had it better in America than in Africa.

Lincoln would have sent all the freed slaves back to Africa had Frederick Douglass not intervened.

What would have been a great compromise is buying Cuba, sending all the freed slaves there, and letting it exist as a U.S. territory or protectorate.

I would think the Irish would have a better claim at reparations.

Only 350k Africans were imported into the USA as slaves. (Most African Americans’ ancestors came to the US voluntarily.)

The Irish, in contrast, were captured and sold into the USA by the British in the millions.

And far more whites were enslaved than blacks and for a far longer period of time.
