Former President Trump dismissed rumors of a feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is seen as a potential contender to become Republican’s 2024 presidential nominee, telling reporters on Wednesday that he has “ a very good relationship” with the Florida Republican.
His comments come in the wake of a recent Axios report stating that Trump has privately told confidants the Florida Governor has a “dull personality” and would face an uphill climb in beating him in a primary. Recent surveys show DeSantis has recently seen an uptick in the polls in a hypothetical 2024 primary, tightening the margin between a potential showdown between him and the former president.

I’ve suspected this whole “feud” was a media fabrication.
Prolly wont happen, dunno, but would love to see a Trump/DeSantis ticket in 2024.
I do think though DeSantis in his re-election campaign doesn’t want to come off as a “Trump puppet” neither, so just put enough out there to convince people.
If both Trump and DeSantis decide to run for the nomination, they'll be a campaign. And either they'll say crappy stuff about each other, or they won't. But it wouldn't matter anyway until the actual campaigns are underway.
It's an "inside the Beltway" thing that ultimately doesn't matter.

Is it true that a Trump/DeSantis ticket can’t happen because they are both FL and the Constitution prohibits that?

Glad to hear Trump say this isn't true. I hope these two guys meet face to face to discuss how this became a national story. Even if it's not true they need to discuss how they're being attacked, who is coordinating this attack, and how to fight back.
Actually, it’s in Trump and DeSantis’s best interest to pretend to have a little public feud. The media can’t resist covering it to death, and it takes up a lot of political oxygen.
And sources like Clownhall take the bait and run with the story as if it is true.

If they did that, the electors for either Trump or DeSantis would not count. Considering we always need Florida’s electoral votes, that isn’t workable unless Trump changes residency to another state, which is possible.
Trump could easily use New York as his home state, shich it really is.
And how many SANE people think Desantis will run if Trump runs? Zero? Desantis running against Trump is just wishful thinking by the Nevertrumpers, websites that hate Trump, and all the rest.

If Trump decides to run, DeSantis won’t...it’s as simple as that. There is no way DeSantis would put himself into a primary against Trump...that’s not good for himself, nor the party. If Trump decides not to run, he’ll likely back DeSantis.

I suspect there is a kernel of truth in these rumors. When was the last time the two of them appeared together in public?
I’d love to see President DeSantis with China/Covid czar DJT. There is one man in the world capable of bringing the CCP and its American and European fellow travelers to justice. Give Trump the unilateral power to grab China by the economic throat and to economically bitch slap the truth out them.
