Despite the predictions that he would fold, Manchin has been more steadfast in his position than most Republicans were on Trump’s agenda.

I’ve said all along I think he has his eye on the 2024 nomination, and maybe he just proved he deserves it.

Is this article written by “Li Zhou” or does “By Li Zhou” have a pronoun for a first name?

Asking for a friend.

Will minorities reflexively react “those evil Republicans” or will they see it as it really is — the Unbeatable Democrats Forever Bill?

Only blacks will buy it.

Biden's approval rating with Hispanics was 28% in the most recent Quinnipiac poll.

> The Constitution needs to be Amended to make it necessary to get a 60% vote to pass legislation in both The House and The Senate.

Yes, but making it harder to create new laws is only half the battle. Legislators love to make new laws, and the current system encourages them to do so.

So it should be made easier to remove old laws. How about it only takes a 40% vote to delete a law from the books?

We would be a better country with less legislation. Let's make it easy to reduce the amount.

They’ve still got a magazine full

The Democrat legislative agenda is DEAD unless there is something RINOS want to help them pass.

The damage now being done is whatever Biden can accomplish using executive power.

Btw, whatever its name, this author has no clue as to how Washington works.

Manchin and Sinema gave cover to the other 48 Democrats to vote for the measure without having to face leftist primaries using it against them.

There was zero chance this would pass the Senate: not even the most leftist idiots there don’t understand that the filibuster increases their individual power. There was zero heroism shown today, just another DC power brokerage.

But Sinema and Manchin took BIG-TIME arrows to try to save our country from tyranny,

If they gave a cr@p about their country they would join the Republican party and dump the Schumer/Biden agenda for good, they are intent on destroying the country and any fool can see it.

Is it ok if I hate progressive communists disguised as democrats of a reasonable entity? My guess is half the RINOs and half the CRATS could form a new super party that could rule for 50 years. Might be best. IDK.

Why, you think the Republican party is any less evil? Let me introduce you to Senator Romney...

Maybe, but now the Dems can run on “Republicans blocked voting rights for minorities.” That, Jan 6 and Trump Bad are all they have.

I haven't reas this bill but it would mean mail in ballots and ballot harvesting, right? The result of that would be that the whole USA would end up like California. An one party state. Where Kamala Harris "worked" her way to the top.

Eliminating the filibuster helps conservatives.

If the filibuster was eliminated, even if only for this so-called "voting rights bill," that bill would become law and the Democrats' cheating would have no bounds. That would mean the Republicans would NEVER regain control of the House or Senate. The Democrats would own Congress for the foreseeable future. Tell me how that helps Conservatives.

“Hats off to Sinema and Manchin”

Agreed, and I hope the good people of Montana now realize that Tester is no Zell Miller. Get rid of that clown, he doesn’t belong in a deep red state.

Yeah, Sen. Sinema is an option but Sen. Mark Kelly is a communist dick coasting on empathy for his wife’s bullet-ridden brain.

I hear you, but the problem is that they’re still leftists and even make Romney look like the second coming of Reagan.

They just want to also see the country live another day.

Our Creator works in mysterious ways.

We need to repeal the 17th amendment to bring back states rights.

Okay, I've got it. A three-part revision to Article 1.

1. A supermajority of no less than 60% of both Houses of Congress is required to enact any new piece of legislation.

2. A submajority of no more than 40% of either House of Congress is sufficient to remove an existing piece of legislation.

3. All legislation shall have a sunset of no greater than three years. Prior to its sunset, the legislation must be re-voted.

I think this modest proposal is worthy of support by all liberty-loving Americans.
