Democrats abuse children with mask mandates, COVID-19 fear-mongering, racial agitation marketed as “critical race theory,” and “transgender” ideology, Dr. Ben Carson, retired pediatric neurosurgeon, former Housing and Urban Development secretary, and Secretary and founder of the American Cornerstone Institute, said on Tuesday’s edition of the Breitbart News Daily podcast with special guest host Jerome Hudson.
Carson described Democrat hostility to standardized testing in the context of education — ostensibly out of opposition to “racism” — as degrading of ethnic and racial minorities framed by the left as oppressed by “systemic racism.”
He said, “It’s really quite insulting when they say, ‘Well, let’s get rid of the standardized testing because minority students aren’t going to do well in that,’ and trying to be precise and accurate, that’s ‘acting white.’ What a bunch of garbage.”
Masking children in schools amounts to “child abuse,” Carson held, remarking on how masks obstruct a central element of human communication — facial expressions — and stultify social development and learning.
“It’s actually child abuse what they’re doing,” he said. “Can you imagine what it’s like to be a child today? A small child. You’ve got to wear a mask so you don’t get to see facial expressions. You miss out on a very important sociological development aspect of life.”

They only do that to the ones they don’t murder first.
That’s what commies do, Ben. That’s how they take over.
I have always respected Ben Carson. I don’t agree with everything that comes out of his mouth, but I can say the same of Trump, Reagan, or Winston Churchill.
Okay, maybe not Churchill...:)
I was so disappointed when I heard Carson was running for President. I just never really saw him as a politician, and certainly not President...I knew that wasn’t going to turn out well. No knock on him, it is a coat that just would never fit him, IMO.
And he is spot on about masks.
And abortion, and sexual abuse aka gender misinformation and psychological and even physical attack, promoting child abused and neglect by promoting casual hook ups…
They just hate kids.
“No knock on him, it is a coat that just would never fit him, IMO.”
He might’ve done fine as POTUS, or maybe not. Trump did make a mistake by appointing him to HUD. He would’ve been better as Surgeon General, especially in light of CCCP Flu.
Jerome Adams wasn’t impressive during Trump’s term. Recently, though, he’s spoken against the CDC guidelines and that’s a good thing.
DOCTOR Ben Carson...world famous surgeon at Johns Hopkins.
Fauxi...$450K/yr multi millionaire government hack.
“Doctor” Jill Biden...a damn junior high teacher.
whet does sanjay gupta think?
dr oz? dr phil?
I preferred him.
He was a master head neurosurgeon. He was a natural leader that people simply followed by sheer respect, and command he had of the issues. So said a family friend who is still a nurse at Hopkins.
And he fixed my nephew’s head even while showing his great humility and confidence to my sister and mother.
I said back then, people mistake bloviating bluster loudness for leadership, while dissing Carson because he was quiet and measured.
Washington was likewise reserved and quiet, but commanding. He was the greatest, and didn’t need to bluster and publicly complain about people. With that example and knowing something of his character, I didn’t really doubt Carson could handle this.
I recognize that greatness in him. Like I said, I have a great deal of respect for him, and I think he is brilliant, as your anecdote relates.
bttt
I admit, I was surprised that he became the head of HUD. Perhaps the Surgeon General post would have been beneath him. But I sure would have appreciated having someone with common sense in there.
That said, I did like Scott Atlas. I just finished his book.
Such a great man, as evidenced by these comments. I have a close friend with a disabled daughter who Dr. Carson himself treated as well. He really went the extra mile and personally helped this family for many years. He has truly touched many lives. May he continue to do great things.
He was my first choice.
Dr. Carson was offered Surgeon General and the head of HHS and he turned it down.
Interesting. Must’ve been sick of being a doctor.
One good thing for Trump was that Carson remained in his position the entire time, unlike many others of the cabinet.
“Perhaps the Surgeon General post would have been beneath him.”
Dr Carson was offered the SG job and the head of HHS. He turned both down for HUD. He said he felt he could do the most good there. Imagine that.
After watching the movie, “Gifted Hands”, Dr. Carson became one of my heros.
He still is.
