My wifes been a nurse in a large Boston hospital for 20 years. Nurses are sick of mandates. They know the vaccines dont work well. They know masking does very little. They know vax mandates have made them have to work shorthanded every day. Then covid positive staff can work with patients? Or all of a sudden a 10 day quarantine cut to 5 in one day. These are the solutions to the lack of help. The nurses know the short staff leads to inferior health care...and its all out of their control, they do their best. Then to hear ,we need more adherence to these useless mandates to ease this stress for them? They must all want to puke. Try kicking in some aid so they can hire travelling nurses.
Let me guess. She and her colleagues are also sick and tired of hospital administrators squeezing the nursing staff to increase their profits. The hospital administrators should stop whining about how overworked their staff are and explain to everyone why they didn't hire enough staff, and have structured hospitals that originally had a mission of helping society into businesses focused on profits.
Actually it IS in their control more than anyone else. You are reporting what your wife tells you. Why do they largely remain silent? They should all get together in the parking lot and hold a news conference and tell the truth about what's going on.
In Texas, Baylor Health Care imposed a vaccine mandate on all 30k employees. They were really the first to do this. I said EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE EMPLOYEES SHOULD HAVE WALKED OUT THAT DAY. At that time all of them could have walked across the street and had another job. Every hospital from that point on would have been scared $hitless of a mass walk out
But our conservative over thinkers insisted it's best to wait until they fire you, bla bla bla. Well how did that work out? It worked out exactly like I said and that is if they wait all hospitals will get onboard with mandates and you will be left with no where to go. Had doctors and nurses walked out on the first hospitals trying this tyrannical crap the mandates would have been over the next day.
These doctors and nurses could have stopped these mandates in their tracks. Now they are stuck with them. They even have a supreme court ruling against them.
That being said they DON'T have to remain silent and they don't have to remain in the health care industry. In fact the leftist run health care administration cabal is totally dependent on them. They have the power. Use it.
The Supreme Court has issued the modern Dredd Scott decision and declared that health care workers are slaves to be ordered to receive unwanted and potentially dangerous medical treatment.
The health care workers need to follow the example of slaves throughout history.

I suspect, (as a retired nurse) that covid is not the problem here. The issue is hospitals deliberately short staffing for years so that a slight increase in covid patients was untenable. It gives the hospital administrators a good excuse ( with the support of the politicians) to blame it on covid instead of their staffing decisions which caused this mess.
