I’m so impressed.
80% of the mold, tool, and die shops we had in the 90’s are gone. Most of the people who know how to make molds, tools, and dies are retired, doing something else, or dead.
It will be quite a while to start building most things here again.
I’ve been saying here for a while that the DC - Wall Street Axis sold out Main Street to China 30 years ago, and DC means both parties. Trump was doing what he could to reverse this, which is why both parties’ leadership wanted him gone.
That’s a real bummer.

I tell kids the moon landings were done with equipment designed with slide rules, drawn on mylar with pencil, and manufactured by high school graduates running manual tools and machines.
While it may look like cheap Chinese junk, which it is, look closer and what do you see. MATERIALS. Thanks to the wests worship of “green” the Chinese have dominated the world’s supply of just about everything.
Even if we completely lost ALL Chinese trade the democrats and their corporate owners would NEVER allow us to harvest our own resources... Unless the Big Guy gets his cut of course.
And where are the primary pharmaceutical ingredients Puerto Rico uses manufactured? It’s not Puerto Rico.
Well, the good news is all those container ships sitting off California, will finally get unloaded.
This is a strong sign of a military buildup. The resources are being transferred to prep for war. The PLA is getting ready. Also see what is happening in the “former” Soviet Union.
I also expect OPEC, particularly countries hostile to us, to cut off oil exports soon. Same goes for Russia and CSTO states.
