So true!
ReL China/offshoring, I don't know what Rush Limbaugh believed, but I will say - You mistaken to think that Bush and the RINO majority represents an ideology radically different from Clinton, Obama, etc... WRONG!
The Uniparty are ALL progressives. Their progressive (now woke)-liberal-hegemony is the unifying ideology of the DC deep-state. They fight over who sits in what chair, and who is allowed to skim $$$, but in the end, we remain on the same path.
Prepare for the shock of finding out almost all our meds are dependent on China for key ingredients. That includes heparin and other items necessary for surgeries and hospital care.
Good.
You don’t get a say, unfortunately. They have their hands in everything we take.
Go back and read what I wrote:
“It is the elites and billionaires of both parties who want to keep trading with China. They do not give a hoot about the American worker.
IN a Bloomberg poll in October, 73% of American companies said they plan to continue their busines in China and I cannot remember the exact figure but 60 some percent plan on increasing their production in China.
Both parties have sold us out.”
YES. I agree
Time to move pharm production back to Puerto Rico
Years ago we should have been setting up Latin and South America to be what China is now. There is no reason that the Western Hemisphere cannot be totally self-sufficient.
Well, the good news is all those container ships sitting off California, will finally get unloaded.
As I recall, we can thank Bill Clinton for eliminating the tax breaks for PR production and making the move off shore appealing.
Decrease taxes and regulations, bring industry back home.
and we adults should probably thin down our "wants" to...
See blam's entire post and you will understand the reason for the problem
This supply chain crisis, and the closing of many ports, may explain why China has been furiously purchasing grain from the international markets, thus affect world commodity prices.
“.. as Bloomberg writes overnight, the effects of restrictions in China as the country maintains its Covid-zero policy "are starting to hit supply chains in the region."
"As a result of the slow movement of goods through some of the country’s busiest and most important ports means shippers are now diverting to Shanghai,
causing the types of knock-on delays at the world’s biggest container port that led to massive congestion bottlnecks last summer
that eventually translated into a record number of container ships waiting off the coast of California, a glut that hasn't been cleared to this day."
“ With sailing schedules already facing delays of about a week, freight forwarders warn of the impact on already back-logged gateways in Europe and the US
and is also why HSBC economists are warning that the world economy could be headed for the “mother of all” supply chain shocks if the highly infectious omicron variant
which is already swamping much of the global economy spreads across Asia, especially China, at which point disruption to manufacturing will be inevitable."
“ Echoing what we said last night in "New Year Brings New All-Time High For Shipping's Epic Traffic Jam", Krishnan doesn’t see an end to the global supply crunch
anytime soon and cautions it could take several years for the snarls to unwind. “ (Emphasis Theirs)
Well, it might take me forever to properly furnish my new house now.
For any interested, the local Wal-Mart was well stocked with canning supplies and severals cases of boxes of lids, both wide and narrow mouth.
A good portion of our meds are processed in Puerto Rico - and we know how rampant their level of corruption is.
I think if you analyze it, you might conclude that that pump was stored in a warehouse in Ohio. Duh!
Wait until your car needs brake pads.
Buy elsewhere or make your own, preferably the latter.
