We were a foster family for one year and ended up adopting our daughter. She was abused and neglected because her birth mother and step father used drugs. I have a photo of her sitting on her birth mother’s lap. Our daughter has this look on her face like, I’m going to be okay and her birth mother’s look was that she was obviously high. So sad. Our daughter is a survivor but has scars both physical and psychological.

It really is a choice- you don’t have to get pregnant.
