I spent last Wed at a local hospital. The small dept where Mrs CG had her procedure had lost Seven nurses due to resignations. The hospitals have created their own emergencies
“These guidelines allow COVID-19 positive health care personnel who are asymptomatic or improving with mild symptoms to work without a quarantine period.
“We are doing everything we can to ensure our employees can safely return to work while protecting our patients and staff from the transmissibility of COVID-19,” the statement continued.

Where we are with CDC “guidance”...
Vaxxed, sick (with “mild symptoms”), and allowed back at work.
Un-vaxxed, not sick, and fired because they are a health threat.
Truth is these hospitals are using Travel Nursing and that cost isn’t cheap. Minimum they will pay a travel nursing company is $180/hr.
Many nurses, radiologists, etc., have chosen travel nursing as an alternative to being a staff nurse because they can get paid $100/hr or more for the same job plus overtime or even 2x and 3x pay, plus $5,000-$10,000 bonuses for completing a 3 month assignment, and many timers a $5,000 signing bonus too!
You can't make this stuff up.
So let me see if I have this right...
If you are not vaccinated then you are fired. The thinking being the un-vaccinated are more at risk to catch and spread the virus.
However, now if you actually have the virus - not a risk-of, actually tested positive have the virus... You can come to work as long as you are vaccinated and boosted -- with a vaccine/booster combo that has been shown to (obviously, since you caught it) prevent neither symptomatic infection nor the spread of the virus.
In other words: we will fire you as too much of a risk, but as long as you are compliant with our arbitrary demands we will let you work, even if that risk has been realized.
Insanity. Though it is a clear demonstration, in case there was any doubt, that the vaccine mandates are not about health and safety. At all.
Was it ever really about a “virus?”
What I like about my P100 mask is that I can freely exhale, without a filter blocking it. I wonder if these masks are similar.
Regardless, COVID will still pass on to those around them, so keeping to the COVID area will just infect those critically ill with a differing COVID strain.
After all, it’s not bad when someone already in the hospital with one variant gets another one, right?

Not having enough workers causes a cascading failure as remaining workers quit from overwork. Organizations must stay ahead of the problem or go out of business.
At some point, patients start dying from neglect and even if there’s no alternative the medical establishment must close it’s doors to limit liability.
Respirators which N95 masks are considered only protect the wearer. There are no devices in existence that protect someone else from an airborne virus.
“Have Covid? Come on in.
No Covid vaccine? Stay out!”
