They like sitting on their fat asses at home while getting a check. Tax payers should refuse to pay them.

Perfect experiment.....
The teachers are afraid. I’ll assume that all, if not most, are vaccinated. So, make the offer......Kids do it remotely. Teachers have to report to their school and teach their classes from their classroom.
Be interesting to see how they would react to that.
If it’s about safety, they should fear nothing with that setup.
But, they’ll protest against that because they want to get paid, while at home, wearing their pajamas.

Chicago schoolteachers are some of the highest paid in the US with a generous retirement package that exceeds the salaries of most that are working.

Will be interesting to see how Biden and company responds. Jen responded to this question yesterday by saying Biden would support the teachers unions AND keeping classes open. Typical non-answer answer and firmly planted on the fence.

Start a parental education coop. Teach your kids your way with your choice of teachers.

Another example of black lives not mattering to leftists & teacher unionistas (in the case of CPS is probably majority black!).

Start hiring non union teachers. As a matter of fact start hiring smart people who don’t have a teachers certificate. Retired military, editors, people who lost ve literature or math or science. The kids would probably be better educated.

Considering how the Chicago schools are, this means less harm to children.
True they aren't getting an education and the taxpayers are still paying for it, but that was the case before all this.
