For people near the end of their life, they often will live until a significant life event, like a spouse’s birthday, or Christmas, or something else.
It was true in my late wife’s case. She hung on for my birthday, and just barely. It was her last great gift to me.

She was something else as Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler
Moore Show. RIP, Betty White.

I always thought she and her late husband, Allen Ludden, were a terrific couple. A simple search of him produces a myriad of pictures of he and Betty. He was probably my favorite game show host of the golden age.I loved when she was on his game show. They were so fun!

And what has that to do with anything. Probably was a Roosevelt Liberal, just like Reagan.

I believe she's the fourth actor from the Mary Tyler Moore show to die this year:
- Betty White,
- Cloris Leachman,
- Gavin MacLeod,
- Ed Asner.
A great show, a great cast, so very sad.

I missed it until now but Nicholas Georgiade, aka Enrico Rossi from the Untouchables died around December 19.
Since Lucy / Desilu came to mind.
RIP Betty.

Loved her in that Snickers commercial a few years back - she was a pretty funny lady.
Sue Ann Nivens was television GOLD.
