A Trump-appointed federal judge threw out a lawsuit from the 45th president late Tuesday that sought to prevent House lawmakers from obtaining his tax returns.
US District Judge Trevor McFadden ruled that the House Ways and Means Committee has broad authority to obtain and potentially publish the former president’s tax returns — and described Trump’s claims as “wrong on the law.”
“A long line of Supreme Court cases requires great deference to facially valid congressional inquires,” McFadden wrote in his ruling, according to the Associated Press. “Even the special solicitude accorded former presidents does not alter the outcome.”
McFadden stayed his ruling from going into effect for two weeks in order to give Trump’s attorneys time to file an appeal.

How about the privacy rights of a typical American citizen, Judge?
There are a bunch of “Trump appointee” judges who have been disappointments. This is because of several factors. First President Trump didn't make all of these appointments himself his staff did and his staff was made up largely of milquetoast Republicans and career bureaucrats. Second career attorneys and judges tend to be scumbags to begin with regardless as to however they identify politically.

Out of curiosity, what crime is Congress investigating? What’s the precedent for wanting the tax information for someone that is already out of office?
McFadden is a Trump appointee...or is he a McConnell/Heritage Foundation judge that was picked from the BS list of so-called, Constitutional Judges, that were going to completely change the way the federal judiciary does its thing.
McConnell gets the judges through the confirmation process. Everyone cheers. President Trump calls out McConnell for rolling over for CornPop. One of those same judges, just happens to roll over for the Democrats in Congress.
Where is the great litigator himself, Sen Ted Cruz, defending this abuse of power? Crickets, I’m guessing. From him and everyone else in Congress. The hatred they have for President Trump knows no limitations.

No, when it comes to anyone who wants to rule over Americans even the sky shouldn’t be the limit when it comes to our right to know about them. Left, right, ‘independent’, good, bad, black, white; I trust no one who wants power in any post or in any way.
The law that allows Congress to look at a citizen’s tax returns has limits. No public, no copies, no photographs. They may look at the document and ask questions, but [I don’t think] they can keep the document - it stays with the citizen.
Trump should plan on it’s violation and have charges ready to offer when it’s violated. And if charges result in removal of a Rep, then a quo warranto questioning the majority rule of Pelosi may come into play.
Judge is kicking the can down the road. This will go to SCOTUS and will probably be a 5-4 for Trump.
I can’t believe the House GOP isn’t telegraphing the Biden Impeachment in January 2023 - that’s what he deserves and what voters want.
I hope the appeal happened so fast it made that judge’s head spin 360 degrees.

I have a very strong feeling when they get Trumps tax returns they will find nothing. He fights this on principle as he should. The Dems are destroying everything they touch. As to the judge someone should send him a copy of the Constitution with the 4th amendment highlighted
