Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that Fox News was playing politics by covering the recent increase of smash-and-grab robberies plaguing California.
Co-host Joy Behar said, “California is seeing a wave of smash-and-grab robberies, where mobs ransack retail stores. Your own business has been robbed multiple times in the past year. You have a couple of wine stores, I understand. Critics in law enforcement blame this on your lax bail and theft policies emboldening criminals. Here is your chance to tell us.”

Exactly. It's not about TX, it's not about politics, it's not about Fox News. It's about CA and the failed leadership that has resulted in people in the entire state to feel unsafe anywhere, even in their homes.
Secondly, I would like to see a deep dive into his stats. When every crime is decreased to a misdemeanor, and you can steal $950 with nothing more than a ticket, yes, "crime" is down.
I know people working retail in OC that say the stores are ripped off all day long & never goes reported. Store management tells the employees not to call the police. So REPORTED crime is down, but crime is up.
