Democrats are rushing to pass President Biden’s $1.9 trillion reconciliation package before the upcoming campaign year of the 2022 midterms.
With the midterm elections less than a year away, campaigns are stepping into full swing. Democrat candidates are positioned to win primaries with hopes of defeating well-positioned Republicans in the general election.

His time is short.
Idiot RINOs like Turtle, Cornhole, Thune, etc all who have now voted twice to let the Communists avoid their legal duties of being required to pass a budget by 1 October. The first time they kicked the can down the road, it was done to give the Communists time to what? Work on the budget? The country’s debt? No, to give them time to pass the Lack of Infrastructure in their Bill.
Now, giving the Communists another free pass, the Communists are doing exactly what was obvious. Spending 100% of their time working on passing the $5T Bankrupt America Bill. Had the RINOs done their job of representing us, neither bill would pass and the Communists would have had to shutdown the government and produced the actual budget they are legally required to produce.
The entire 19 traitors in the Senate GOP should just change parties en-mass. It is what they want to do anyway.
Tax the rich!
Tax the rich!
According to one talking head, the package has many Byrd Rule violations and cannot be sent to the Senate until they undergo a ‘Byrd Bath’, which would put it into the late Jan-early March time frame before going to the Senate.
I am not so certain.
McConnell is an extremely crafty old Senator, who, I am certain, loved being Senate Majority leader.
He may see the key to defeating the Democrats as rope-a-dope. Keep absorbing a little punishment to trade for delay, delay, delay.
The Democrats should have passed this in the first month of the administration. They could not do it.
Now it is less than a year to the mid-terms. It gets harder and harder to pass each passing day.
It gets harder and harder to implement in time for the mid-terms to have an effect.
I do not know if that is what McConnell is doing, but it might be.
You may well be right. Much as he puts my teeth on edge, he is one of the best parliamentarians in that position ever.
Can you imagine the nightmare the Supreme Court would have been with Garland on it?
We probably never would have elected President Trump if that occurred.
REALLY? Hahahaha go away. BTW Manchin is not going to fold so all of you trolls can go back to DU.
yep-so called moderates always do this dance of talking tough against lefty proposals and then fold or vote for a slightly modified version-remember Manchin voted for impeachment-he’s a phony
