President Biden and congressional Democrats' Build Back Better (BBB) Act is now in the hands of the Senate. That legislative body's 50-50 partisan split will undoubtedly make the bill's passage difficult.
In order for BBB to become law, Democratic Senate leadership will need to convince moderates such as Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) that the legislation's $2.4 trillion price tag can be offset by expanding the IRS and its enforcement efforts while imposing substantial tax reform measures.
Congressional Democrats have argued that one of the best ways to pay for the legislation is to raise taxes on wealthy households, which, according to many on the left, have benefited disproportionately and unfairly from the 2017 tax reform law passed by Republicans and signed by former President Trump. The latest data, however, proves that this claim is pure mythology.
Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans' tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.

Any tax cuts benefit the middle class, if only to make the price of goods go down. Democrat taxes “on the rich” only make them go up, hurting everyone.

This cannot be true. Joy Reid, Anderson Cooper, Cuomo, Pelosi, and Maddow all told me that only the rich were getting tax cuts!
Imagine how prosperous this country would be if Government simply concentrated on the Rule of Law and National Defense. Not easy to maintain when there is such a huge pot of loot and no shortage of fake heros who will hand it out unconstrained.
I wouldn't dignify it with "argued", it's simply the usual spew of anything-that-benefits-the-party garbage. In fact, the Dems hold working and middle-income class people in complete contempt and everybody involved knows it, including the media who dutifully repeat this crap because guess what? They aren't working or middle class themselves.

The Trump administration made a mistake in changing the rules for withholding so that many people, who had been accustomed to getting one,had no refund at the end of the year. Our education is so pitiful that they did not believe that they got a tax cut. They just spent everything that went into their direct deposit account each month.

Yup. Trump’s tax cuts plus his energy independence policies, his America first policies toward China, Mexico, etc., and his border security policies made our economy boom. Biden’s open-borders, welfare, and Green New Deal policies will lead to world-wide depression, unemployment, mass starvation and global war if enacted.
