'Lot of concern' over Russian military activity near Ukraine, top U.S. general says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States is tracking enough indicators and warnings surrounding Russian military activity near Ukraine to trigger "a lot of concern" and Russian rhetoric appears increasingly strident, the top U.S. military officer said late on Thursday.

Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, declined to speculate about the kinds of options the United States might consider in the event of a Russian invasion. But Milley, in some of his most extensive remarks on the crisis, stressed the importance of Ukraine's sovereignty to Washington and to the NATO alliance.

"There's significant national security interests of the United States and of NATO member states at stake here if there was an overt act of aggressive action militarily by the Russians into a nation state that has been independent since 1991," Milley said during a flight from Seoul to Washington.

The good general doesn't say what the "significant national security interests" are. Because there are NONE.

Zip.

Nada.

Stopping gangster regimes like Russia from gobbling up one country after another is definitely in our interest, even if only indirectly. Russia has already done this bullshit in Georgia (I still remember the photos of regular Georgians chopped to pieces by Russian attack helicopters, and the videos of Russian soldiers burning American flags), has more “separatists” ready in Moldavia and I’m sure in many other countries too, and is already gearing up the Russkie trolls online to explain to us that the invasion we clearly see these monkeys preparing to do for the past few months is in fact the fault of the USA and Ukraine. By responding to Russian aggression, Ukraine and the USA are in fact CAUSING the invasion!

I will note here for all the dumb dumbs:

Hello, Russia still supports communist terrorist groups in South America; Russia supports every single one of our enemies, from Cuba all the way to Iran and North Korea. The Russkies are doing drive bys with their boats to antagonize the Japanese.

You guys hear one bullshit speech by Putin talking about traditional values, and you think it’s for real, even though the Archbishop standing next to him (Kirill) was literally promoting Liberation Theology as recently as 2009 before getting his position. He has a KGB code name! All of Russia is ruled by “former” communists with a ton of actual crimes under their belt, lots of blood and lies and theft, but somehow these psycopaths are reformed because the Soviet Union formally collapsed.

The ‘good general’ can go screw himself. Don’t give a crap what that leftist says. All I know is that we shouldn’t commit one more American serviceman or woman’s life to this global leftist nonsense that only enriches the elite.

I am personally rooting for Russia to take all of Ukraine, and the sooner, the better.

why? Because ever since the CIA switched Ukraine from a Russian Kleptocracy to an American kleptocracy in 2014, it has been a cancer on the US body politic.

Ukraine and its agents have been at the heart of many domestic political disasters - from Hillary’s server, the the fake Steele Dossier, to phony FISA warrants, to Biden Corruption, to Trump’s ridiculous impeachment. The cancer (and the deep state players who introduced into USA politics) is going to kill the USA.

For the sake of OUR Republic, Ukraine needs to be excised.

“Stopping gangster regimes like Russia from gobbling up one country after another is definitely in our interest, even if only indirectly.”

There are no facts behind that assertion, only emotion.

Who cares if Russia swallow Georgia or Moldova or Ukraine?

How does that impact US national security interests, and what are those interests?

I stridently support the unilateral pursuit of US interests just as I stridently oppose wasting our “ammo” and national energy.

For all of you folks who want to show the russkies what’s what. It’s pretty doable. If you have a passport just fly to ukraine and join their unit of foreign volunteers. You will be able to spill as much russian blood as you are able. If you are too old or infirm, send your kids or grandkids. What’s needed to set things right in the world is for you to go sacrifice and bleed over a country you know nothing about. I don’t give two sh&ts about the russian federation or ukraine. Off the top of your head name three cities in ukraine. We need to stay out of other folks business.

In name only. It’s still the murderous Soviet Union, under Pooty-Poot.

Rant On - So What !!! At least the Russians stand for something. What is Poopy Pants going to do? Send a sternly worded letter wrapped in one of his recently filled diapers? Seriously, Milley is worried? Does anyone think for a second that his crack brigades of gender bending, fudge packing, diversity spewing woke shock troops would scare the Russians. Maybe send Hunter over and he can work out a deal for 10% for the Big Guy to avoid an invasion. Rant Off

During the remaining years of my life, I would like to see the United States have at least 10 years of real peace instead of being constantly at war.

This is a sign of a country going through the death throes of its final collapse and I don’t like it one bit.

Not buying the spiel.....

You could, you know, just try doing a simple internet search on any one of my statements. Here's the one on Archbishop Kirill, and also includes a comment on the "former" KGB running Russia (they populate the government):

"The man who is now the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, secretly worked for the KGB under the code name “Mikhailov” and spent four decades promoting liberation theology, which we at the top of the Eastern European intelligence community nicknamed Christianized Marxism.

"...

"In 1971, the KGB sent Kirill — who had just been elevated to the rank of archimandrite — to Geneva as emissary of the Russian Orthodox Church to the World Council of Churches. The WCC was, and still is, the largest international religious organization after the Vatican, representing some 550 million Christians of various denominations in 120 countries. Kirill/Mikhailov’s main task was to involve the WCC in spreading the new liberation theology throughout Latin America. In 1975, the KGB was able to infiltrate Kirill into the Central Committee of the WCC — a position he held until he was “elected” patriarch of Russia, in 2009. Not long after he joined the Central Committee, Kirill reported to the KGB: “Now the agenda of the WCC is also our agenda.”

Funny the headline doesn’t use the
“ top general’s”

muntiny Milley name.

I wonder why.

Shouldn’t he be calling Communist China and warning them too ?

After reading the first paragraph, and before reading the second paragraph, my question was, is this Milley? I don’t give a rats rear end what he thinks about anything either. 👍

There are no facts behind that assertion, only emotion

Are you serious? What about Russian aid of FARC, arming Venezuela--which is not just a communist regime, but a known NARCO state that has weaponized the drug trade? What about illegal trade with North Korea? What about threatening to halt gas supplies if they don't get their way, as they are currently doing through Belarus with the fake "refugee" crisis on the Polish border? Or what about when Russkies go around and poison people, like Litvinenko who was poisoned by Polonium 210 for the crime of pointing out that Al-Qaeda's number 2 was trained in an FSB training camp before being sent to join with Bin Laden? Or what about when Russian soldiers go into Chechnya, and in documented cases, commit mass rapes of the men---(when not raping foreigners, Russian soldiers typically mass rape THEMSELVES in the bunkers, with there being mass suicides of conscripts every year as a result). And what about the personal corruption of Putin and his "former" KGB agents who dominate the Russian government? They have billions of dollars by sitting on their ass in a government office!

How does that impact US national security interests, and what are those interests?

Well, what about Poland, which is also being threatened by Russia with bombers in support of Belarus? It was the Russian government itself that immediately told Poland that the Muslims--which were flown in by Russia and Belarus through Turkey--were the fault of NATO and Poland. Millions of Russkie trolls have been spamming such communist talking points, calling for mercy for the Muslims, and blaming Poland for "participating in the Iraq invasion" and allegedly causing the crisis.

When Russia takes Ukraine unopposed, how much longer until they destabalize Poland with terror attacks and separatist insurgencies, which they will of course blame on the West and deny any connection to?
