It seems like all we have in abundance is caution.

Jiden, Hairlip, Nanshy, Screwmore and Faux-chi are deeply upset. They have another election to steal yet.

Call Xi Jingpig and order another virus. This one was a dud. All the fear is depleted.

That’s where the term “vaccine” comes from. Latin for cow-ing up.

Why do aliens always want to take over earth? Do we go around trying to take over their planets? Honestly, if they’re so technologically superior, haven’t they got better things to do with their time? They could play video games! Brew better beer! Perfect computerized dating. Write poetry. But noooooo! Always ‘take over earth. Eat human brains. Exploit earth’s natural resources.’ If I were woke, I’d say they were acting just like white men. Except for the taking over the body thing.

forget how we got here, fear, peddled by media, governments, medical professionals, all for a flu that was 99 percent survivable.>>> If any of them really got vaxxed i would like for some adverse effects by the pompous a$$ holes. a Bunch of CEO’s of the companies that threatened peoples jobs to get vaxxed get a bad case of heart failure.

what if the jab destroys your body’s immunity to any covid unless you get boosters. It won’t end.

Omicron infection could confer natural immunity on those infected. That immunity from an infection that is like having a sniffle from a cold, would be a small price to pay for the immunity. Whether such immunity would be strong enough to protect against the Delta Variant would be something to study. If true, consider it a Christmas gift for those unvaccinated.

Some are suggesting that Omicron is outcompeting the Delta variant. They say 74% of the infections in South Africa are Omicron.

I have good friend who is a virologist ... didn’t get jabbed ... said

‘’Covid will end when the variants arise that produce no worse than bad cold like symptoms’’.

Exactly the opposite. The jab increases your antibody titer levels by 100 times over natural immunity if administered more than 30 days after initial infection. This is known scientifically as hybrid immunity.

“Hybrid immunity is when someone recovers from a COVID infection before getting vaccinated. It typically results in antibody levels that are 25 times higher than vaccination alone and 100 times higher than infection alone”

https://www.science.org/doi/full/10.1126/science.abj2258#

Being vaccinated does not stop your body from developing hybrid immunity should you get exposed to covid and have a still rare breakthrough case.

“They found a breakthrough infection increased neutralizing antibody levels against the delta variant by 34-fold. That’s a larger increase than the typical third dose, which ranges from five-fold to 17-fold, according to an NIH-funded study.”

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.10.18.21265113v1.full.pdf

You are twice as lively to have a second case of covid with only natural immunity vs having a breakthrough case following synthetic immunity aka vaccination. Even if you get a post vax breakthrough case it will trigger hybrid immunity as the study above shows which is 30+ times stronger than just surviving a first infection. There has not been a case of a vaxed person having a breakthrough case followed by a second reinfection this would be the equivalent to having covid three times. There are tens if not hundreds of thousands of documented reinfections of natural immunity only people look below the data is there.

The jab

Not only are there many "jabs," with more coming, but there are many strains of the virus.

The jab increases your antibody titer levels by 100 times over natural immunity

For how long?

Omicron infection could confer natural immunity on those infected.

However, Omicron seems to be spreading very slowly so far.

The Omicron virus is spreading. There needs to be more time to get an accurate picture of this virus. This world map does not include the two infected in the U.S..

How many infected people does that chart represent? NPR reports “at least 9” A variant causing very few cases is unlikely to help much but we’ll see what happens.

“If this variant grants lasting immunity (to itself and the other variants)”

Because it is so different (over 50 mutations), its cross-immunity may not be as strong as with the other variants, which typically had only 1-4 mutations.

I saw a study (a pre-print, not yet peer reviewed) out of South Africa, that indicated that Omicron had a high rate of re-infection of previous COVID patients, as well as vaccine breakthrough infections.

It may be immune evasive (natural and vaccine) because it is so different, and that same difference might make the immunity it confers less effective against other variants (than previous variants have, which was very strong).

Besides it’s difference, another risk to the strength of immunity conferred by Omicron infection, might be severity. Generally, the more serious the illness, the stronger the resulting immune memory. Omicron might be too mild to trigger a really strong reaction.

It’s just speculation on my part. Time will tell. Let’s hope for the best.

“ Omicron seems to be spreading very slowly so far.”

Hang on to your britches, because there are indications that this one will spread faster than the other variants of concern, including Delta (the previous transmission champ).

Around Johannesburg, Omicron became the dominant strain faster than any other strain had before - about two weeks.

It is also the first strain that has shown the ability to replace Delta as the dominant strain in an area. That may be because they are different enough that they don’t compete directly, and Delta just happened to have naturally finished its run, before Omicron started its run. That is to say, maybe they are different enough that they can both infect the same people, so they don’t have to fight to see which one gets there first (weak cross immunity).

Generally though, epidemics start out slow, and build at a growing rate - case, case, cluster, cluster, BOOM! Omicron is just getting its first few seeds spread in the USA, but if it runs like in South Africa, it should be in full bloom by Christmas - maybe even past peak.
