He needs to learn how to operate watercraft.

It is pretty clear to me this young man is suffering from a severe case of PTSD.
His demeanor on the stand told me that.
I understand why he is doing it. He is trying to jettison anything that reminds him of that night.

Yes. Some people do not understand this at all.
I sure do.

Waiting for the officially licensed Kyle Rittenhouse model to be made by a custom boutique gun maker.

Though justified, that rifle still killed two people. Not sure I’d want to profit off that.

You're absolutely correct. Some of these folks have seen too many movies and think a 17 year old having to kill two people in self-defense is just no big deal.
This is going to follow him for the rest of his life. At least in the near term, his dream of being a paramedic is gone. Any job for which he applies, any girls he meets, all will know him for this one event. Even though he had no choice, I'm quite sure he wishes it had never happened.

Not making a judgement on profiting from killing enemies. As I said, I suspect this is an effort to curry favor with the prospective jury pools when he starts suing people.
A good move / strategy in my opinion.

He is following the advice of his lawyer. He has to disconnect himself from the past. His lawyer even recommended he change his name. Maybe take his mothers maiden name or a Grandmother's maiden name. I knew a guy who did that because of a nasty divorce and POS ex-wife. Stopped her from damaging his credit. I would recommend he go with the Grandmothers maiden name, harder for press or ANTIFA types to track down his new name. Still maintains that family connection.
I do not doubt he has some level of PTSD. A cop can go their entire career and never kill someone. Two thirds of the military never fired a shot during the war. Rittenhouse killed two criminals in less than 30 minutes. At his age that is a lot to carry around within himself. People want to make him a villain or hero for their own purposes. He needs to disconnect from the past to move on.
Honestly, I would recommend he go to a University in Poland. Friend went to medical school there because it was accredited and so much cheaper than the United States. Rittenhouse wants to be a nurse, go to Poland, get your BSN and then return to the USA (if he wants), pass the NCLEX and be a nurse. Maybe the anonymity he would have in Poland would make it easier to focus on his studies.

It is his to do wish as he sees fit, but destroying it seems like a waste.
Agreed. I personally would keep it, upgrade the optics and trigger, and buy some more ammo in bulk, and then thank God, again, that I had it when I needed it.

OMGosh.
The rifle killed no one.
KYLE killed those scum. Not the rifle.
What poor, anti-gunner style logic.

Guns don’t kill people, people! Sheesh.
We should have destroyed ALL M1 Garands after WWII!
Stupid logic.
