What I want to know is this: Did her testimony and ID in a lineup put him in prison?
This case should be a reminder to every potential juror - those tearful eyewitness accounts can be very wrong.
Don’t take everything that is said at face value.

Oh well if it was an honest mistake then that’s OK. No harm no foul. Except to the poor guy who lost 16 years of his life, and of course the woman who made the “honest mistake” should not suffer any consequences-after all she’s a woman and should not be held responsible kind of like the black whore who conspired with Nifong the frame the Duke lacrosse player.
Isn’t there any kind of difference at all between a mistake and doing something deliberately? The law differentiates between those two things and I’m all right with it.

If you kill someone by your actions whether intentional or not you still go to jail (unless you're a cop or Alex Baldwin) This was not an accident where she stepped on the gas instead of the brake. She deliberately identified this guy as a rapist. I figure she owes this guy 16 years of her life. Maybe everything she earned in the last 16 years? Life is finite you don't get more just because someone falsely accuses you of something and you go to jail for it.
Oh btw I'm not in the least enraged I'm simply pointing out the unbridgeable gap between a verbal apology and 16 years of someone's life - nice try to try and paint someone you disagree with as enraged and "fear/distrust all women" - worthy of a liberal Democrat.
