Navahos and tobacco?

so the Spanish brought horses over....should the tribes now remove all painted horses from their history and culture?...I think so...they culturally appropriated something that did not belong to them....of course I'm saying this tongue in check.
Didn’t some of the tribes consider people outside the tribe not to be people?
Blah blah blah - Evil white man - We are not responsible for anything we do.
I'm so relieved Indian Country is safe from the scourge of "Colonized Tobacco".
Need to object to the Navaho colonization of Spanish horses.
““They understand tribal sovereignty, and they understand all the economic opportunities that tribes are trying to do right now, including gaming,” Henderson said, who added that the ban including no smoking in Navajo casinos.””
Smoking addiction bad. Gambling and alcohol addiction good?
HOWEVER...since they say they introduced it to the "White Man"...reparations may be in order....TO US....for introducing us to this dangerous product,
So ‘banning’ a product still requires ‘educating’ the population? Typical liberal mindset. They create a situation requiring policing, then because they are too incompetent to actually do that job, they have to spend gobs of money employing more liberals to persuade the population not to engage in using the illegal substance. (While at the same time arguing for the de-decriminalization of marijuana)
Without any research, I seriously doubt that any Navaho in the desert Southwest ever saw or heard of tobacco prior to white man introducing the iron horse. (And native Americans never saw horses until they were imported from Europe.)
we gave the Indians alcohol and they gave us tobacco
Did the Navajos cultivate tobacco? I had the impression it was a south eastern plant. Did the Navajos use some other plant?
Oh, I should point out, that the Navajo crossed over to the America by boat, after the land bridge fell back into the sea, arriving in the southwest around 1300 AD. This was ten thousand years or longer after humans first inhabited the Americas, and only a few hundred years prior to the arrival of Europeans.
According to CRT, the winners of the second to last wars are the rightful owners of their place; as opposed to the winners of the last wars, who are to be considered to be invaders and colonizers.
According to the Declaration of Independence, government gains its rightful power from the consent of the governed, NOT from who won what war. Thus, we seek to end the endless cycle of wars of conquest, colonization, slavery and all forms of oppression. NOT continually re-fight the last war. We were and remain the true revolution in the world’s history. Replacing the rule of conquest with the rule of law.
Love the warning label.
(And native Americans never saw horses until they were imported from Europe.)
It wasn’t until around 1680 that the Pueblo’s came into possession of horses after running the Spanish back to Mexico. Until then most if not all the tribes were still walking. From there the horse population expanded and multiple Plains tribes had them.
Where’s my casino ?
